Situated in the heart of John O Groats on the North Coast 500 with breathtaking views across the Pentland Firth to the Orkney Islands making it a perfect base to explore Caithness, Sutherland and Orkney. You can see the Isle of Stroma and the Pentland Skerries all from the lounge window. Our holiday home is a 2 minute walk from the harbour at John O Groats where the passenger ferry “Pentland Venture “ does daily trips to Orkney, May to September and daily wildlife cruises in the summer months. Our luxury caravan is a home from home with double glazing, gas central heating and a gas fire in the lounge. It is also fitted with a “winter pack” keeping you cosy all year round! With 3 bedrooms it is an ideal holiday home for families. There is even a double pull out bed in the lounge making room to sleep up to 8 people. The kitchen has a full size gas cooker and fridge. There is a shower room with toilet and hand basin. The area around the caravan is fully fenced off giving you your own private car park and grass area with outdoor seating, letting you sit outside and take in the magnificent views that surround you! Our holiday home is situated on the seafront with views overlooking the busy Pentland Firth. You will see lots of different vessels sailing past and an array of wildlife. If you’re lucky you might even see a pod of porpoises or orcas! If you walk along the path to the beautiful Sannick Bay you may well find seals basking and around the magnificent cliffs and Stacks of Duncansby you may catch sight of the puffins from late April to August. Just a 2 minute walk away is the iconic signpost, gift shops, John O Groats Brewery and Stacks Bistro. Just a 10 min walk up the road is our local hotel which serves food and alcohol all year round and the John O Groats Post Office and filling Station which stocks an array of delights! A 10 minute drive can take you to Gills Bay where the car ferry “Pentalina” does daily return trips to Orkney. We are approximately 16 miles from the town of Wick, Wick/ John O Groats Airport and Railway Station and 20 miles from the town of Thurso, Thurso Railway Station and Scrabster harbour where another Car/ Passenger ferry departs to Orkney.
