Le Grenier is a bright contemporary gîte that adjoins the far end of Maison Pyron, a maison de maître villa / old farmhouse, the home of the owners. With its own garden and entrance, it overlooks the pool, woods and grounds. Ideal for exploring the Chalosse, the Atlantic coastline (1 hour 10 minutes by car), down to Spain and San Sebastian (2 hours) as well as the Pyrenees (1 hour 30 minutes), many guests enjoy the peace and quiet that the Grenier offers. Both towns have cafés, boulangeries, patisseries, markets and independents stores in the centre and there are several supermarkets between 5-10 minutes drive from here. Languages spoken: English & French The grounds are large with plenty of space, offering chances to see wildlife, watch the stars and eat outside in summer. You will have a fob to use the electric gates to park at the front of the main house, where there is parking for several cars. Guests have priority use of the pool - the onsite owners (a couple) may occasionally use it at other times of the day when not in use by guests. We are on hand as much or as little as you wish. We will maintain the grounds and pool during your stay. We can suggest visits, restaurants and day-trips and speak French so can help you with translations and arrange bookings, trips out or liaise with any return stopover hotels, etc… New Cleaning Protocols Summer 2020 onwards Providing clean and safe accommodation is always a priority and we will be putting further thorough cleaning measures into place following official recommendations to include: A minimum of 30 hours between one set of guests departing and the next arriving (departure by 10h00 and arrival after 17h00) Thorough airing of property before and during cleaning Cleaning followed by disinfection of surfaces Thorough attention paid to items that are frequently touched (door handles, light switches, remote controls…) Wearing masks and gloves to clean Washing of household linen at high temperature Respect of social distancing rules upon arrival (we will not show you round the property this year but being onsite we can answer any questions you may have) Removal of soft furnishings, cushions, etc... (or weekly changeover and cleaning of soft furnishings) Providing digital Welcome Guides (or weekly changeover and cleaning of guides) No other rental property will be open to guests
