The two-storey farmhouse from the year 1880 was carefully renovated just recently in 2013, paying attention to combining the traditional elements tastefully with modern amenities. The solid flooring and the wooden ceiling beams tell the story of past times. The living space of 160m² provides an inviting living and dining room with an integrated, open kitchen, five bedrooms and three bathrooms. The ground floor has a living room with two comfortable sofas, a rustic coffee table, a wide digital flatscreen TV with satellite channels and a USB port, a DVD and CD player, a stereo system, a safe for your valuables and even a piano. The open fireplace built into the wall exudes a cosy atmosphere and pleasant warmth on cooler evenings. You can dine together at the large dining table with ten chairs. You go through into the modern built-in kitchen with a cooking island and a practical breakfast bar with stools. It is equipped with a dishwasher, a four-zone gas stove with an elegant stainless steel cooker hood, an oven, a fridge with a freezer compartment, a microwave, a kettle and a toaster. Another highlight on the ground floor is the games room with a pool table. Wide stone stairs lead up to the upper floor with the bedrooms and bathrooms. Four of the bathrooms are each furnished with a large double bed, while the fifth has two bunk beds for four children. One of the bathrooms has a bath with a rain shower, while the other two each have a spacious shower cubicle. All three bathrooms are also fitted with a washbasin with a wall mirror and a toilet. A washing machine, two cots and highchairs are available. Plenty of bed linen and towels are provided and the reliable wireless Internet connection in the house can be used free of charge. You can enjoy leisurely meals outdoors around the grill area. A car is recommended during your stay and you can always use the secure parking spaces right in front of the house. The owner lives on site in the building next door. He is always mindful of your privacy, but is also available to assist with any queries. The little village of Ponikve is about 720 metres above sea level, offering beautiful long hiking trails with great views. There are plenty of hiking and mountain biking trails in the immediate vicinity. You can use the tennis court right nearby, about 100 metres away. It is about 8km to the centre of Ponikve with shops and gastronomy.
