It enjoys amazing sunrises and sunsets, cool and comforting year-round breezes, idyllic views of the mountains and surrounding country side, and small glimmers of the sea. Rainbow Hill Villa is in a quiet residential neighborhood, situated in a quiet cul-de-sac on 19,358 square feet of private, fully gated flat and beautifully landscaped grounds with coconut trees, papayas, bananas and other lush vegetation. There are a total of 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The main home, upstairs, was built in 2012, has approximately 3,080 square feet of living space, with 3 spacious bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and covered verandahs in the front and rear of the property. There is excellent cellular phone service from the Villa and WiFi. The lower level of Rainbow Hill Villa has a large apartment with over 1,000 square feet of living space and was built in mid-2016. It has 2 spacious bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, patio and covered sitting area. Both living quarters are tastefully furnished, have large fully-equipped kitchens with modern appliances, comfortable living/dining rooms, Flat-Screen TV's, and a common laundry room. There’s a total of 2 King beds, 3 Queen beds, 1 sofa bed, plus 3 pull-out chair beds. GETTING THERE: A rental car is strongly recommended. The road to the villa is hilly. There are no shopping/eating places within walking distance. Pickup service available; from airport, ferry or boat dock. Space limited, please arrange in advance. A Certificate of Approval was issued on October 7, 2020, certifying that Rainbow Hill Villa, Cochrane, Commonwealth of Dominica, was inspected by the Environmental Health Department and has demonstrated compliance with the Ministry of Health, Wellness and New Health Investments’ COVID-19 control measures, and the health and safety protocols for the Tourism and Hospitality industry of Dominica. A copy of our COVID 19 Certificate of Approval is posted on this site. The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. We have enhanced our housekeeping routines, where possible, to help reduce risks and exposure to COVID 19; i.e., cleaning and disinfection of frequently touched surfaces; for example: tables, floors, doorknobs, light switches, faucets, sinks and kitchen appliances and such; availability and use of appropriate cleaning and sanitizing products, for the intended purpose and per manufacturer instructions, etc. While we have expanded housekeeping protocols to help minimize risks and the spread of COVID 19, we cannot guarantee or promise that Rainbow Hill Villa guests and invitees will not become exposed to and/or infected by disease-causing organisms such as COVID-19. Guests are free to use all areas of the Villa, the yard and gardens, except for locked areas, closets, doors and cabinets. Each guest rental unit has its own patio area, verandah or garden space. The laundry room (behind garage) is a common area (shared). Only one guest at a time is allowed in the laundry room. During the Covid 19 Pandemic all guests are required to social distance (at least 6 feet) and wear face masks while in the vicinity of other guests. We're only a phone call, email or text message away. Cochrane is a small village located in St. Paul Parish, about 5 miles north-east of Roseau, the capital city of Dominica. There are two UNESCO world heritage sites nearby. The closest heritage site is Morne Trois Pitons National Park. There are several other world-famous natural attractions nearby, including the Emerald Pool and Middleham Falls. The Cochrane Village main road is on the route to the start of the northern trail to the Middleham Falls. Cochrane is also well known for it's annual Rabbit Festival, usually held in the month of August. A rental car is strongly recommended. The road to the villa is hilly. There are no shopping/eating places within walking distance. Pickup service available; from airport, ferry or boat dock. Let us know well in advance if pickup service needed. Public transportation via minivans and taxis are available along the main road. However, a rented car and or a hired driver with vehicle would probably be more convenient and reliable, especially for exploring the island or night time travel. It can get a little chilly some evenings. A sweater or shawl might come in handy for cool nights on the verandah.
