Your Home from Home

Voëlklip is situated in the area of Hermanus where all the swimming beaches are found, as well as the famous cliff path from where whales can be seen between July to December. We have magnificent mountain views and easy access to the mountain's walking trails. All of this is just 5 minutes walk from the premises. There's a Mini Market next corner for convenient shopping. Languages spoken: English and Afrikaans PLEASE TAKE NOTE: There will be an extra guest fee for additional guests. We would like our guests to feel relaxed and comfortable. Small pets allowed by prior arrangement. Breakfast and meals available on request. The apartment is on the ground floor of our double story home. We live upstairs but have our own entrance. We do not share any amenities with our guests except the drive way. Parking is inside the premises behind a safety gate. The backyard as well as the front garden is open to the guests. Braai facilities are available. We are always willing to help guests to ensure that they experience Hermanus and surrounds to it's fullest. Voëlklip is a save neighbourhood. Walkers and joggers are welcome any time of day. You can choose from a big variety of restaurants in Hermanus. Try The Harbour Rock in the New Harbour, as well as Burgandy's with its beautiful views, La Pentola should not be missed. There are more than 30 coffee shops, cafes and restaurants in Hermanus. We have at least 4 very nice restaurants in a 2 km radius from our home. Voëlklip is almost 3 km from the centre of town. A taxi service is available from 8 - 13:00. After that, you can hire a private taxi or Uber. About 20 km from Voëlklip is the beautiful little town Stanford. You can visit Panthera Africa, a wildlife sanctuary and make use of the boats on the river such as The African Queen. Gansbaai with its Whale watching tours and Shark cage diving is about 40 km from Voëlklip. And do not forget all the wine farms you can visit.
