Tucked away yurt at the foot of the Southern Alps.

Perched at the feet of the Southern Alps, our yurt sits raised on the sunny side of a long, forest covered valley, far away from civilization. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks, the beautifully furnished and bright yurt is a great spot to get some headspace in nature, do some hiking or to enjoy a romantic, long weekend with a loved one. The air is pure, the fresh spring water is delicious and the view of the night sky is incredible. WIFI and cell phone reception are not available. Next to the yurt you can enjoy a bath under the stars, by heating an outdoor bathtub with firewood. It is also useful, if you want to refresh after a relaxing Sauna session. During the summer there are plenty of mushrooms and berries to collect from the nearby forest. The region is perfect for hiking. Yurt, Sauna, Outdoor-bathtube, composting toilett, in winter the bathroom in the nearby house. Mostly we'll make sure we're here at times when we have guests, we're happy to lend an ear and give advice about the nicest walking routes and to show you around. Our house is only 100m away from the yurt. So we are here if you need something, but also your privacy is respected. Breakfast is also available on request. If wanted, you can book a session of cranio sacral bodywork in the yurt. Surrounded by nature, our neighbourhood consists of mostly birds, deers, foxes, plants and insects! There are only 4 neighbours in the area, and it's very rare to see anyone whilst walking in the forests. There's a guesthouse around 2km away, in case you fancied a beer or some warm-homely food. You can reach us most conveniently by car - parking is on-site. Public transport is also available - we have a public transport taxi service that is available most hours of the day for a very reasonable price, taking you to the nearest main train station where you can catch trains to and from Graz/Vienna. The yurt is also in winter a perfect place to enjoy being in nature. It is heated fast and easily and offers opportunities for winter sport activities. Winterguests have the possibility to use the bathroom in the nearby house. Running water will be shut off between Oktober and April. During this time there will be a water tank of 30l that you can use in the yurt.
