Banbury Meadow is a family run tranquil glamping retreat managed organically as a nature reserve, situated on the village fringe of Butleigh, less than a 10-minute drive from the historic town of Glastonbury, overlooking Glastonbury Tor and within the ancient Vale of Avalon. We are a small family run glamping retreat that will especially appeal to people with an interest in treading lightly on the earth and reconnecting with nature and just being able to 'unplug' and relax. You will be provided with beautifully spacious yurt a fully equipped kitchen, piping hot shower, sumptuous four-poster beds and cosy wood burners! ​ We can offer up to 3 guests per yurt the opportunity to experience the wealth and beauty of an ancient wildflower meadow with a breathtaking view of Glastonbury Tor a stunning 180-degree view of the Mendip Hills and Somerset Levels. We are nestled within the Dove constellation of the Glastonbury Zodiac and are close to various beautiful locations such as the renowned RSPB reserves at Shapwick, near Glastonbury, which harbour a multitude of birds and wildlife. ​ Although we have a licence for many units, we have limited ourselves to only two 6-metre yurts because we wish to keep our site peaceful, exclusive and as low impact as possible. ​ For ecological reasons we are unable to accept dogs (other than guide dogs) also to ensure the tranquillity of the site for other guests we are unable to make a provision for children under 12 years of age.
