Nestled in woodland within the South Downs National Park - Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. One of two architecturally designed oak framed cabins within a stones throw of the historic and beautiful village of Alfriston. Experience local wildlife outside your window, inhale the fresh country air and be amazed at the surrounding countryside, which has so much to offer. Welcome to Badgers Rest - now with the option of your own wood fired hot tub - we hope you enjoy your stay within our woodland. This is the perfect place to relax and explore. Child friendly, with friends, or simply a romantic getaway - why not bring your dog too! Your cabin has a log burner for cosy evenings. We provide contact free check-in. With self-catering facilities, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay. The kitchen has a fridge with freezer, induction hob, microwave/convection oven, a toaster and kettle. Outside you can enjoy the firepit area (please see extra's) Wi-Fi The cabin has a mezzanine bedroom with a double bed, and there is also an additional comfortable double sofa bed sleeping space. There is a bathroom, which has a toilet, sink and a walk-in shower. Linen, towels and a hair dryer are all included to make your stay more enjoyable. Explore and let your adventure start here! Optional Extra's: * Wood fired hot tub £50 per night for the duration of your stay (e.g 3 night stay £150) - please note hot tub stays are a minimum of 2 nights * Adult bike hire £15 for the day and £10 for any additional consecutive days (09:15 to 18:00) * Fresh eggs from our chickens £2 (6 eggs) or 2 for £1, whenever available * Firepit / BBQ hire, accessories, a sack of wood & kindling £20 why not add some of our own sausages – we have a pack of Cumberland, Pork & Apple or Chipolatas at £4 a packet for you to enjoy on the BBQ or take home * Additional sack of logs £8 * Pure apple juice pressed from our own orchard £3.50 per litre or 3 for £10 * For those special occasions, or just because you are on holiday, we provide Rathfinny Sparkling Classic Cuvee 75cl £29.50 * Long Man Brewery – Helles Lager 330ml £1.85 or 6 for £10 - Best Bitter 500ml £2.65 or 6 for £15 - Long Blonde 500ml £2.65 or 6 for £15 * Home made jam, marmalade or chutney £2.50 * Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome for an additional £5 per night (1 large/medium dog or 2 small is suitable for the cabin) * Late check in/out of £15 (subject to availability) * We offer electric car charging to our guests by invitation and charge a per kwh rate Main House Rules: - Check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out is 10:30 am. - Smoking/Vaping is not allowed - There are on-site parking facilities available at the property (one space per cabin) - Please abide by the hot tub safety guidelines Please note there is a mezzanine area with step access.
