Charming hideaway, cottage garden, rustic kitchen
A beautiful, unique and compact hideout, nestled within a quiet terrace, minutes walk from the town centre and close to the coastal footpath. Self contained, but as part of my home, it offers self catering facilities, private access, allowing guests to relax in a romantic contemporary bedroom with stylish ensuite bathroom and living area. French doors overlook your own private cottage garden where a separate building houses a rustic kitchenette, tucked into the garden as a cosy hideout. Little Geo is part of my house. However it is totally self contained, so you can have as much privacy as you need. It is only 2 minutes walk to the town centre but positioned in a beautiful terrace amongst many Victorian gardens. Little Geo has its own private entrance which provides an access point to and from the terrace giving convenience to the main amenities in the town from the end of the terrace. It also has high fences surrounding it, from the terrace which it lies opposite. My house is a mid century bungalow with gardens surrounding it. Little Geo is situated at the front of the house with its own private garden and facilities. The bedroom is also completely self-contained although part of the house (the internal door is locked both sides and sound insulated in my hallway). The kitchenette in the garden is a converted summerhouse which gives a totally unique feel of being part of the garden. Little Geo is a beautiful, unique compact hideout, nestled within a quiet terrace just minutes-walk from the town centre's pubs, cafes, shops and galleries and close to the coastal footpath. Self-contained, Little Geo offers self-catering facilities where guests can enjoy a room that benefits lots of natural light from the french doors (people like to sit with the doors open and enjoy the garden from the bedroom too). There’s a queen sized bed to relax in with thoughtful finishes (tongue and groove feature wall with built in shelving), retro wall lights with dimmers, perfect for evening reading and relaxing, and a compact stylish en-suite bathroom. The bedroom also has a comfy living area with smart TV and tea making facilities with a selection of herbal and regular teas and coffee. Original art, antique furniture and hand crafted soft furnishings mixed with contemporary colours create a modern yet romantic feel. The bedroom’s French doors overlook a pretty cottage garden, stocked with shrubs and flowers to enjoy as well as pot plants with seagrasses and succulents. In the evenings the garden turns into something even more magical which is left for guests to discover themselves..... Nestled within the garden is the most charming little hand built rustic kitchenette that is a separate building to the bedroom. It is converted from a summerhouse and is fully insulated with electric, hot water supply and has a vintage shepherd’s hut feel inside except with many of the conveniences of a modern kitchen. The kitchenette has a fridge, microwave, two way electric hob, mini oven and grill, toaster, kettle and all the crockery, glassware and kitchen utensils generally found in a kitchen. It also has basic condiments such as olive oil, salt and pepper and balsamic vinegar, tea, coffee, sugar and milk. The kitchen is so connected to the surrounding garden it offers a different experience than staying in a usual flat; there is a connection with nature which is really charming. It’s a perfect place to relax, read, listen to music and enjoy a morning coffee or evening glass of wine with the doors open onto the garden. Guests tell me they spend all of their time in here! There is a DAB radio with Bluetooth speaker and ample seating in the kitchenette, with a built in foam box sofa seat housing lots of feather cushions you can sink into and a rocking chair. In the garden there’s a bench hidden within the foliage underneath a handmade arbour growing Passion flowers and honeysuckle. Guests can enjoy the independence and privacy of their own access gateway onto the terrace led from the garden. There is an old granite store shed near the front gate to store bikes, surfboards etc. in if required. The garden has a real feel of an old English country cottage garden, it houses mature trees such as magnolia and bay, a range of shrubs and flowers, including local ones such as agapanthus and echium. I am a keen gardener and and continually adding more! The newly added outdoor seating area gets all of the morning sun which is perfect for a morning coffee. The garden has rose arches, night scented jasmine and honeysuckle and is filled with solar fire torches and fairy lights self operated from the kitchenette. Central heating for the main house is operated via LPG gas as there is no mains gas supply in St Just. The heating is usually only switched on at the end of September and put on a daily timer system that operates via an eco smart boiler that regulates the inside temperature according to outdoor temperature. There are oil filled electric portable heaters in both the bedroom kitchenette for supplementary heat when needed. Additional heaters and blankets are always available on request when staying also. Both bath and hand towels are provided as well as a shower mat, shower gel and shampoo, tissues, hand soap, hand sanitiser (in the kitchenette). Tea making facilities are available in the bedroom with a mini fridge and selection of herbal teas as well as usual tea and coffee. This means you don’t have to go outside into the kitchen in the morning if you prefer to stay in the bedroom and have a cup of tea first! We have two very placid sweet natured ginger cats who are timid but do come and say hello occasionally. Key collection is generally via a key box at the property. I am happy to answer any queries that you might have remotely, likewise I can be available to meet and greet if I’m not working, although I also respect the privacy of guests too if that's what you would prefer. I am quite busy juggling work with family so may not always be available upon check-in but can meet at a later stage after check-in. Although I lead a busy life I am very responsive to any queries you have and therefore I'm always available via messaging on Air BnB.
