Rothwell, Kettering large clean room + parking!

Comfy, spacious, sparkly clean, double-room in a quiet home (i.e. no loud people, music & double-glazed) with kitchen use, Rothwell, NN14. Off A14, easy access A1/M1/M6/A6/Kettering hospital. 45min Silverstone/ 10min drive Rushton Hall/Kelmarsh Hall . 5 mins walk to Rothwell's historic centre with restaurants & shops. Please do read my detailed description & see photos :). PLEASE NOTE: Extra house rules apply during COVID-19, I am also applying an enhanced cleaning regime at this time. The guest bedroom is the largest bedroom. The comfy double bed has electric sockets on both sides of the bed and space for items you may need to charge over night. The sheets and duvet covers are 100% cotton. Guests have access to the their room, bathroom and kitchen/dining area. The kitchen is well equipped with microwave and dishwasher. Guests also have their own full size under the counter fridge. I ask that the kitchen is kept clean and tidy and used items are placed in the dishwasher. Bathroom has an electric shower. Please be aware my water is metered, so be mindful of useage. I try to respond to requests within a couple of hours usually much faster. I like to have an idea of who is asking to stay in my home & what brings them to the area. Remember, AirBnB is personal, you are a stranger being welcomed into my home, not a hotel! Please show courtesy by responding to the questions I ask. I am happy to try & help with late booking requests (e.g. on the day of arrival). Guests have, in the past, stayed a single night, been a regular visitor over a period of weeks or anything in inbetween. I have travelled the world & stayed at AirBnB spots, so know how useful host knowledge can be. I am happy to share info about my local home area & further afield. Happy to chat over dinner / drinks or equally to leave you in peace during your stay. (The only caveat to this is that sometimes I may be out in the evening and I do need to work during the day. Please don't be offended if this is the case.) Rothwell, Northamptonshire, is a small historic market town, with a population of about 7500. It has some excellent restaurants and take-aways all within a 5 or 6 mins walk of my house. Check out the Thai Garden, Italian Deli, The Old Bank and our excellent Indian restaurant, Taste of India. (We also have a number of pubs, two small supermarkets, Tesco/Co-Op, green grocers, butchers and a couple of coffee shops.) From my house you can easily walk into the lovely Northants countryside & find yourself surrounded by fields. I am also located very close to Rothwell swimming pool and gym, at Montsaye school which you can pay to use. Rothwell, Northamptonshire (not Leeds) is mentioned in the domesday book and has a number of ancient buildings and sites - try and visit the famous bone crypt at the church (open on Sundays through the summer), or the Jesus Hospital. Rothwell is only a short drive from Naseby, the important English Civil War Battlefield, where one of the decisive battles occurred. Equally close by is the Grand Union Canal. For more recent history there are the remains of a number of Second World War USAAF airbases with memorials. Additionally, Rothwell is only a 20 min drive from 35 mins from the centre of Leicester, and 45 mins from Silverstone. Please do take note of my location - this is one thing I can't change and I am honest about distances. Sadly a couple of previous guests have given a lower review rating based on my location. As always if you have a car or motorbike it's easy to find me and get around. If you are driving I am within easy reach from the A1 and M1/ M6. Rothwell is just off the A14. I am located about 35 mins drive from Leicester, Northampton and Stamford. If you don't have a car there are still options. The nearest railway station is in Kettering about 3 miles away, which has a very regular service to and from London, Luton (and Luton airport) Leicester and Nottingham. There are buses from/to Kettering to/ from Rothwell about every 20 minutes during the day, less during the evening, but they still run until about 11pm. The bus from Rothwell stops directly outside Kettering general hospital. (A number of my guests have been working at Kettering hospital.) If you are attending an event at Rushton Hall I am happy (schedule permitting) to take you/pick you up (at a pre-arranged time) for a £10 charge, this is less than half the price of a taxi! Please message me with transport questions. If you are using the train, and I am at home I maybe able to pick you up from the station. Once in Rothwell it is a short walk to the shops, restaurants, bars and pubs. Please remember you are a guest in my home, I am not an employee in a hotel!
