Daisy Cottage is a superb location for a family holiday or a romantic couples getaway, with an open plan layout on the ground floor, a sun trap of a patio that opens onto a picturesque communal garden area and two comfortable bedrooms. Pendra Loweth is an award-winning garden village that nestles in a picturesque wooded valley just outside of Falmouth; there are tennis courts, a playground, gym and splash pool as well as a small bar/cafe all available to those on-site. A twenty-minute walk down the tranquil valley from Pendra Loweth will bring you to the golden sands of Maenporth Beach where you will find a superb beach cafe and the fabulous Cove Restaurant which has just been acquired by Michael Caines. Falmouth is a short drive away, and here you can enjoy the wealth of fine restaurants and thriving pubs that this vibrant town has to offer. Explore from the Prince of Wales Pier to Custom House Quay, Events Square, where the Falmouth Oyster Festival and the shore-side activities for Falmouth Week are based, and the National Maritime Museum. There are also regular ferries from the Prince of Wales Pier and Custom House Quay that are well worth a day trip with destinations such as the beautiful St Mawes and the Roseland Peninsula or further up the River Fal to Trelissick Gardens, Malpas or Truro. Alternatively, you can explore down the Lizard, England's most southerly headland and lighthouse, the stunning Kynance Cove or the quiet ambience of the Helford River, the inspiration for Daphne Du Maurier's Frenchmans Creek. Accommodation Ground Floor: Open plan kitchen/living room and diner. The kitchen has fully fitted units and appliances; there are comfortable sofas, dining table and chairs, flat screen TV, French doors leading to the private terrace. WC with hand basin First Floor: The stairs open onto a landing with doors to; Master bedroom with 4'6" bed and storage and garden views. Bunk bedroom with 3' beds and storage. Family bathroom with shower over the bath, WC and hand basin. Exterior: There is a designated parking space 10m from the property and other visitors' spaces if required in the communal parking area. There is a private patio with picnic table and benches. There are also communal gardens throughout the village with areas laid to lawn and plenty of woodland walks. Facilities & Services There is electric heating throughout with night storage heater downstairs and on-demand radiators on the first floor. The kitchen has a range of cupboards & worktops. There are an electric oven and hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle, Tassimo coffee machine, George Foreman grill and a fridge with icebox. The sitting room has a flat screen Freeview TV. There are a travel cot and highchair available on request. There is a dishwasher and there are separate communal laundry facilities on site. There is unlimited broadband WiFi. There are stair gates both top and bottom of the stairs. Miscellaneous Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included, but you will need to provide your own beach towels. There is parking available for 1 car in a designated parking slot outside the property and a second in the communal parking area if required. Daisy Cottage is no smoking. Up to 2 well behaved dogs are welcome at Daisy Cottage for the small additional charge of £30 per dog per week. Dogs may not be left unattended in the property. Pendra Loweth is a holiday village and the PL management company stipulates on behalf of owners that sign written or trade vehicles are not parked on site. There is a stream running through the village and guests staying at Daisy cottage are asked to supervise their children near it. General Booking Information Arrival / Departure is usually a Friday. Short breaks are available during quieter periods. £250 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required.
