Welcome to Camp Mange Takk (pronounced "Mung-ga Tak"); Norwegian for "Many Thanks." Built and furnished in rustic Adirondack style. A 28-foot mighty white pine sets off the open plan with water and mountain views from every window. Four bedrooms, two full bathrooms will comfortably sleep eight. (boathouse not included in rental). Camp Mange Takk isn't "roughing it." Completely renovated with 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a well outfitted kitchen and plenty of amenities make your stay comfortable and luxurious. A large deck, screened porch, stone patio and swim dock mean everyone can find a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Adirondacks. The great room with it's large stone fireplace accommodates your entire family. Beautiful lake and mountain views abound from every window in this architecturally unique home. Long Lake is located in the very heart of the Adirondack Park (the geographic center of the park is Round Island, just a half mile north in the middle of the lake). The lake is 14 miles long surrounded by mountains and wilderness perfect for any type of exploring. Hike the local trails (some handicap accessible) or challenge yourself with one of 46 High Peaks all within 90 minutes from Mange Takk. The Adirondack Museum, the Adirondack Observatory and Wild Center are each about 20 minutes away or just cozy up with a good book and relax. After a big day, relax in the hot tub and count the stars. Plenty to do, or do nothing at all. Minimum stay 7 nights (Saturday to Saturday) June through mid September, Christmas week, Winter school break and Spring break. All others, minimum 2 nights.
