This is a cozy home on 5 acres of beautiful forest, 10 minute drive from the main street of the historical town of Placerville. Perfect get away for nature lovers looking for a quiet sanctuary (yet close to civilization :)) 🌲 Please note that this is my private home that I make available for renting whdn traveling. Book only if you feel you can treat this home with care 🙏❤️ *** please read to the end *** Dear guest, it is important for me that you have the most beautiful time in my home and also that we both can feel confident it is a good fit. This rental is my home and sanctuary that is available few times a year when I travel. And that also functions as Meditation and Retreat centure. People come here from all over the world to rechage, get in touch with themselves and nature. Fully equiped and decorated, it is best suited for those who want to experience deep regenerative impact that being in nature has on our nervous system and soul. My guests describe this place as magical, healing, peacuful, and cozy. Surrounded by 5 acres of beautiful forest with oaks and pines, deer, squirrels and rabbits who come to visit, it truly gives a sense of being in a fairy tale. In addition to this main house where you will be staying, next to it there is a little cottage where my friend Ruth lives with her 8 yrs old son. Please honor Ruth’s privacy, no entering her home’s backyard. This rental is only of the main house. You are abdolutely welcome to walk in the forest, use trampoline, sandbox etc. IMPORTANT: Please message me if you would like to book, telling a little bit about yourself, ages of people in your party, whether you would like to bring a pet (yes, it might be possible on case by case basis) and what draws you here. Looking forward to hearing from you! ~ your host, Ira GENERAL INDOOR AND OUTDOOR SPACE: There is no TV in the house (there is good wifi internet connection). Various musical instruments, board games, toys, books, treehouse deck, woods to wonder around, trampolina, tire swing, sand box, hammocks, space for dance and yoga, sunsets and sunrises. All the things that give us more time to intimately connect with each other and ourselves. BEDROOMS: The home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. 1st bedroom has comfy queen size bed, chest drawer and closet. 2nd bedroom has sofa bed that opens to queen sized bed (two twin mattresses). It also has some kids books and toys in the closet ;) 3rd bedroom has quality queen size bed and single bed that can be made into two twins. This bedroom also has its own bathroom with a tub. This is where Norka the cat lives (please do not let her out). BATHROOMS: We have two bathrooms in the house Red bathroom is at the end of hallway and has a spacious shower. Purple bathroom is in 3rd bedroom and has a bath and a shower. KITCHEN: The kitchen is fully equiped and has a big table with 6 chairs. GATHERING ROOM: A beautiful place to sunset watch and gather. It has sofas, armchair, books and board games, and a french door window that opens to patio with table and hammocks. LIVING ROOM: Big open space for practicing yoga and dancing with fireplace and piano. LAUNDRY ROOM: Please know that the laundry room located in this main house is available to both cottages. Of course you will be able to coordinate ahead of time with Ruth regarding when she can come to use it. GARBAGE DISPOSAL: Garbage disposal is something that here in the rural area we do a bit different. You will need to take garbage bin to the specific spot once a week (don’t worry about it if you here for one week only). All the instructions are in the visotor’s guide video and Ruth can help you with it if needed. GARDEN: Please note that the fenced garden area is not included in this rental. A lot of work goes into growing it and we had before guests accidentaly destroying parts of it. If you wish to visit the garden please ask Ruth. You most likely will be able to go together or sometimes on your own after receiving her instructions. Thank you for understanding. FEW MORE THINGS: * Absolutely no smoking in the house or on premises. * We do not wear shoes in the house (there are beautiful wooden floors our guest really enjoy to walk on barefoot :)) Trampoline, swing, hammok, tree house deck, sandbox and beautiful woods to wonder are all yours to explore. Please note there is another little cottage on the property that is not included in this rental. Even though I am probably going to be in a different country somewhere around the world when you visit, I am available for your questions over the email. There is always a contact person I have in the area who is available if extra help is needed. It is very important to me that you have most pleasant stay possible and feel you are very cared for. Little more details about what's around: Lets start with most important shall we? The tastiest pizza on Earth, “The Place”, is 5 min away and they have live local music Friday and Saturday. 10 min drive and you are on the main street of Placerville historic town (please (Hidden by Airbnb) ) with adorable shops and art galleries. 15 min drive from Apple Hill and in the midst of many wineries. It is very beautiful here, with neighbors horses you can admire. Deer and hares come to visit us. In Apple Hill (please (Hidden by Airbnb) ) there are many fruit farms. We are located in the very center of the historical gold rush and in Placerville there is a park with a mine that you can enter. Try those pans as they used to do to search for gold (you can laugh, but I also thought “what will I fo for an hour with this plate ?!!”... 65 minutes later, "eh, what, already?" very meditative experience :)). Placerville also has a swimming pool. 20 minutes drive to Janckinson Lake. My son and I love this lake much more than crowded Tahoe (which is little over 1 hour away). 30 minutes drive is Coloma and my favorite short hike to American River. You can do rafting on the river, but I just love to go there and do yoga on the sand... play my drum and swim. Hour drive to the east - area of Lake Tahoe with multitude of trails and stunningly beautiful lakes. Paradise for hikers. Hour the other direction there is Sacramento. I really love Old Town there, by the way in Folsom there is also a very nice old central street. In the Old Sacramento, there is a feeling like I’m in the Wild West. You can also (Hidden by Airbnb) Old Town Sacramento. And the museum of trains there is very cool. We constantly go back with my son. Also, SMF, the closest airport is there. 1.5 hours going on west - a beautiful lively university town Davis. Farmers market on Saturdays, music (although we have all this in Placerville too). Just there it is bigger and with different vibe. There is a beautiful arboretum. By the way, there are excellent children's camps in our town (I work at the Waldorf school and I know teachers personally, if we were here in the summer, I would definitely take my son there for a week or two, the program from 9-1 days, if I'm not mistaken). Well, 2.5 hours drive famous San Francisco. 3.5 Yosemite Park You will need a car to get to the property and around. This is my personal home I rent out when I travel abroad. It is fully equipped and has things that are dear to me like musical instruments and books. Some of these can be removed upon your request (for example, if you have young kids and can not be sure they will be careful with guitar or a drum :)), but some can not be moved, like piano.
