A delightful, secluded farmhouse and retreat close to Sennen Cove - voted one of Britain’s best beaches by Condé Naste Traveller - and with easy access to one of Britain's finest stretches of coastal path. The property is exquisitely decorated: Delabole slate floors, modern art and rugs combining traditional charm with modern vibrancy. The enviable elevated position gives stunning views over the sea towards Land's End, the Longships and the Scilly Isles. Hendra is a beautifully restored, centuries old house constructed of traditional Cornish granite with slate roofs. When booking the piggery you have use of the whole of downstairs:- 1 bedroom 1 wet room that consists of wet room shower loo and sink. There is also a wood burner. Outside, there is a terrace with dining table and benches; a Weber BBQ; an outbuilding for laundry by an old (covered) well; an outside shower; and ample grassed garden with deckchairs and a firepit. There is parking for 5 cars. A full guest book will be available, with our tips for your enjoyment of the local area (which we have enjoyed for some 20 years). Co-host Charlotte will be available when needed. Hendra Farmhouse is a detached, traditional Cornish building - the original farmhouse of a little hamlet. There are three houses, surrounded by fields and stunning views. The house looks over National Trust fields and the coastal path, which is easily accessible. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk to the sea. Hendra is located a short drive from Sennen Cove and Gwenver, two of West Cornwall’s finest beaches and from the doorstep there are walks down the spectacular coastal path. This area is in so many ways untouched by modern life and West Penwith is much loved for its untamed raw beauty. Hendra takes in so much of what this magical place has to offer. From the crashing waves of the Atlantic, the dramatic cliffs, stretches of golden sand and some of the best surfing in Cornwall, it’s all on your doorstep for a fantastic holiday. Penzance main line station is less than 20 minutes by car/taxi. Hendra is in a secluded location at the end of a narrow lane. The final 100m or so leading to the house is not a public road and is bumpy. You will need to drive slowly! When booking the piggery you have access to all of the downstairs but the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom are not included in your stay and use of them will incur extra cost. You can use the main house kitchen and both sitting rooms.
