Your house in the heart of the Alps

The small Alpine house is located at a place close to Krieglach, in a quiet little village in the heart of Styria. The house was built in a tranquil environment surrounded by forests, next to a mountain stream. The house is 70 m² (with three bedrooms), it can accommodate 6+2 persons. It is a self-catering accommodation but if necessary, we can arrange meals at the nearby Gasthof (Restaurant). Alpl, the quiet little village in Styria, can be reached by car from the S6 highway in 15 minutes. The village lies 1000 meters above sea level. Those who arrive here will experience the wonders of untouched forests and fresh air purified and cooled by numerous mountain streams. The house was built in a tranquil environment surrounded by forests, next to the Steinbach mountain stream. The cozily furnished rooms can accommodate 6+2 persons. The ground floor has a fully equipped kitchen with an electric stove, oven, fridge, coffee machine, sandwich toaster, dishwasher, and an electric kettle. A homey lounge with a sofa bed and a furnace. Bathroom with shower and wash basin, and a separate toilet. Upstairs there is a double bed (140×200 cm) and a single bed (90×200 cm) in both bedrooms. As additional heating, there is individually controlled infra-heated floor in the rooms, the lounge, and the kitchen. Wood-fired central heating (with radiators) runs in the house, operated by the guests. You can also light up the fire in the wood burning stove at the lounge and enjoy the crackle of the fire. Free WIFI is provided all over the house. Our guests rent the whole house regardless of the number of their party (maximum of 8) and they use every room in the house. The fully equipped kitchen is available for preparing any kind of meal, the garden has a barbecue grill with firewood provided. The owners do not live on site. So we kindly ask our guests to contact us before arrival regarding the keys and the details of their arrival. We are available 24/7 throughout your stay via phone or e-mail, in case you need help with anything. Alpl is a perfect starting point for organizing shorter or longer excursions and hikes. The region has many opportunities for active recreation: golf, hiking, climbing, swimming, a visit to a museum or zoo, rafting, biking, hang gliding, or hot air ballooning. The forest surrounding the house is ideal for those who enjoy gathering berries (blueberries, blackberries...) or mushrooms. Also, visit the deer farm on the outskirts of Alpl. Winter sports enthusiasts can choose from 19 ski areas in the vicinity. The nearest shopping opportunity is 8 km away in Krieglach, where various grocery stores can be found (Spar, Hofer, Lidl...). Alpl has several restaurants waiting for tourists: Waldesruhe, Schlagobersbauer, Roseggerhof. Upon request, we happily arrange your meals at the nearby Gasthof. The hamlet of Alpl can be reached by car easily from the S6 highway. Leave the highway at Krieglach and follow the signs (Alpl-Roseggers Waldheimat). Go upward the hill on the serpentine road and after approx. 8 km, you will see a large wooden information board on the right side of the road. You turn right at the board, and after approx 1.5 km, you reach the house. In case you arrive by public transport, you can take a taxicab in Krieglach to Alpl (we recommend Sigi's Taxi) and we can also provide shuttle service. Free WIFI is provided all over the house. Three parking spaces are available right in front of the house for our guests, free of charge.
