Umtunzi Guest House: Modern Farm Stay

The guest house can accommodate up to 12 people, is unaffected by loadshedding and has beautiful views of the neighbouring Oceana Private Nature Reserve, as well as the Indian Ocean. Birdlife in our garden is abundant and the short drive off the main road to our homestead could surprise visitors with glimpses of Nyala and Bush Buck and other wildlife. While we are surrounded by nature, we can offer our guests most modern amenities like internet, Netflix, Apple TV, DSTV and a swimming pool. Our homestead is situated on a small farm - 10km outside of Port Alfred and a 5 minute drive to the beautiful Riet River Mouth. We border the Riet River and Oceana Private Game Reserve and are a short distance from great restaurants, world class golf courses, nature reserves, historical towns and villages and miles of sunny Eastern Cape beaches - the perfect hideaway, where you will be surrounded by nature, peace and tranquility. We are loadshedding independent due to battery backup power. Lights, TV, WiFi etc are unaffected by power cuts. We have an uninterrupted water supply and are not affected by Municipal cuts. Please note that while you do not share the guest house with other guests (you have the guest house to yourself), rooms are made up according to the number of guests that you have booked for, as the booking price is determined by the number of guests staying. FOR SECURITY PURPOSES: ONLY PAID UP, SIGNED IN GUESTS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY, THUS NO ADDITIONAL DAY/NIGHT GUESTS WILL BE ALLOWED. We have 3 Ridgeback Dogs that roam the property freely and cannot be locked up - they are friendly and especially great with kids. For our security, and yours, only checked in, paid up guests will be allowed to access the property. We require all guests to sign an indemnity upon checking in. No additional day/night visitors will be allowed. Our guest house is situated in our beautiful natural garden and offers visitors privacy, space and peacefulness. If needed, we will be nearby to offer advice or lend a helping hand. Our homestead is surrounded by an electric fence and protected by armed response. Our 4 RIDGEBACKS (dogs) act as family pets and security - they roam the grounds freely and cannot be locked up. We happily share our family pool with our guests - guests are only allowed to use the pool during daylight hours as the pool is adjacent to bedrooms. We are on a farm, 10km outside of Port Alfred. We will send you a link that will lead you to our driveway prior to arrival. It is recommended that guests have their own transport. UBER is available from Port Alfred. We have 3 friendly DOGS (Ridgebacks) on the property. They are our family pets and security. They roam the grounds freely and cannot be locked up.
