Classic Farmhouse

The former spacious wine farm is located in the heart of the Swabian village near the church, cultural center, village museum, shop and village pub. The house has been renovated in traditional style but equipped with all modern conveniences. The spaces in the house are 'en suite'. The garden at the house is intimate and runs out through a fruit orchard at the back to a field with meadow flowers. The village has retained its Swabian character including the German language. The house consists of two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, a spacious hall / intermediate room with access to the toilet, storage room with basement and bathroom. The former opkamer on the street side has three beds (2-person, 1-person and a cot) and has a large tiled stove in which you can see the wood fire burning. The second bedroom with a double bed is located between the living room and the upstairs room and has a door to the 'outside entrance'. The living room with a double sofa bed and a bateaucanape also has a tiled stove. The kitchen has a dishwasher and an induction hob and has doors to the outside entrance and garden. The kitchen also has its own wood burning stove. The spacious bathroom has a double shower, double sink and private door to the outside. The washing machine is also located in the bathroom. Behind the house is a barn that has been equipped with a summer kitchen from the spring. At the house is an intimate garden that slowly goes up to a fruit orchard. Then there is a large field of meadow flowers. In the back of the garden (500 meters) is deer, foxes and even a badger castle. In the garden there is a playhouse, a trampoline and in the summer a large inflatable swimming pool. We can easily be reached by phone and/or email. The housekeeper is living & working nearby in the village and is always around to help. You can communicate with us in English, Hungarian, Dutch and German. The village has been voted the third most beautiful village in Hungary and is also called the Swabian Holloko after the UNESCO world heritage village in the north of Hungary. The houses were carefully restored a few years ago in the original Swabian style. The population also identifies itself as Schwabian and generally speak German. In addition to the church, the village has a village museum, a kulturhaz, a small shop and a village pub. The village is situated in a valley surrounded by farmland and fruit orchards. Because the village is on a dead end, there is hardly any through traffic. The winery is located on the parallel road off the main road and has hardly any traffic, which makes the village very child-friendly. There are also two playgrounds near the house. The village is adjacent to a huge forest where you can go hiking, mountain biking and horse riding. The village is located between two famous Hungarian wine regions: Szekszard and Villany and near the city of Pecs. It is not advisable to go to the village by public transport, although there is indeed a (bus) connection and most food items can be purchased at stores that arrive at the door.
