Architects own home in Sthlm archipelago with ferry connection from central Stockholm (1.20 min). The house has a panoramic window with a magnificent view towards Saxarfjärden as well as the forest facing North. Municipal water and sewage and full mobile connection. Two bedrooms and two sleeping lofts that fit children or people who do not have trouble using a ladder. 100sqm terrace and in summer a large luxury tent for those guests who appreciate being in the middle of nature. I will most often introduce you digitally to the house and will be available on phone/FaceTime/whatsupp Stora Timrarön is located in Stockholm's central archipelago and is big enough for adventures on the island or as a base for exploring other parts of the archipelago. On the island there are sandy beaches, rocky baths, scenic forests with mushroom and berries just outside the door. Nearby island offer great experiences for adults and children alike. A personal favorite is a daytrip to Grinda just 15 min away with boat or a bit further away, great food at Gällnö Bar. Just 5 min away is LInansnäs with restaurants, kiosk and Marina. House is located on island withour car connection. Note, from Ferry/boat it is a 500m quite steep hilly walk. The easiest most flexible way to get to the island wintertime is to get to nearby Skeppsdal (taxi from Arlanda airport about 50 min/700kr) where we have parking space and from there take boattaxi (takes 10min to island) which cost 600kr one way and is booked through us. Boat taxi can be reserved through us to depart anywhere from mainland. Cost approximately 60€. By Ferry: From Sthlm there is regulair ferry connection (1.20 min @ 10€) with Waxholmsbolaget. Ferry stop on island 500m away from house. Check with host or at (Website hidden by Airbnb) for exact timetable. Ferrys sail year around but timetable shifts winter, spring summer. Winter (dec-march), ferry takes about 2h and the island is only trafficked Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s. May-Sep: Daily connection Sep-May: Fri, sat & sunday and some weekdays By car 45 min with car from Shtlm to nearby skeppsdals Marina on shoreside.Free parking included. From there 5 min boatride. Boat can be rented at Dyvik Marina or by us alternatively book boat taxi. From airport: If you rent boat from us taking a cab directly from Arlanda to Dyvik Marina is most convenient. 45 min, 700kr and then it is just a 5-10 min boat ride to island. Getting around Best way to get around is to rent boat. Ferry connection exist to most islands but is limited. Groceries: You can bring groceries but there are som other options if you run out of food or need to complement. Linansnäs Grocery Store on nearby island is open year around and can be reached if you rented boat. Vaxholm 35 min away with boat is where we do our grocery-and-whine-shopping when we don't use online service delivered direct to island. If you have car in Dyvik and rented boat you can also drive 15 min to Åkersberga that have large, quality supermarkets and systembolag. Low-season (week 18-24 and 33-35) only delivery on fridays and saturdays. High-season deliveries mondays to saturdays.
