Our gÎte is in a picture postcard location, nestled in a beautiful valley in North-East Normandy, where you can truly relax and enjoy the French countryside. The converted barn has recently been renovated to the highest quality, it feels exceptionally luxurious, yet homely and charming. As a British family we have embraced the stunning French character and added a touch of English elegance. This rural retreat is an idyllic place to relax, with breath-taking views of the valley, a spacious open-plan living area and ample outdoor space, including a terrace with barbecue and 'pick your own' herb garden. One of the absolute highlights has to be the hot tub, the perfect accompaniment to your retreat where you can unwind in a blissful, bubbly, oasis. With four double bedrooms the property sleeps up to eight guests. Coeur De La Vallée really is the ideal place for your holiday, whether it be a family adventure, or a couples escape we have everything to offer. The ample outdoor space and panoramic views make this a really unique and special place to spend your holiday. With leisurely alfresco dinners in the evening you can sit back on the terrace with the firepit glowing and admire the stunning sunset. During the winter, you can snuggle up and warm your toes by the wood burner, while you watch a film, enjoy a Netflix series or play a board game. The property is well equipped with modern amenities throughout, including an all important Nespresso Citiz coffee machine. Upon arrival, our guests will be greeted by Karine and shown around the property. We will also show you our in depth information guide. The nature lovers will be in their element, with a bounty of wildlife to be seen, including buzzards, red squirrels, deer, swans and hares. Our guests are more than welcome to meet our sheep (Bonnie and Mollie) and pygmy goats! (Noah and Moses) Just a minutes' walk from the property is a collection of lakes which you can stroll around and fish if you contact us at least one week in advance. If you fancy immersing yourself into the typical French way of life, then we have a beautiful scenic route whereby you can walk to the local boulangerie to buy your fresh baguette or croissants in the morning. This region is rich in history and culture, with an abundance of chateaus and cathedrals to explore, architecture to admire and typical French markets to wander round. We have some great beaches nearby, two award winning villages and history rich world war sights. Some of our favourite places include: Rouen, Dieppe, Étretat, Lyons-la-Forêt, Eu, Le Tréport, Veules-les-Roses, Amiens, Baie de Somme, Gerberoy and Forges-les-Eaux. With regards to our location we are just 1 hour 30 minutes from Calais, 50 minutes from Dieppe with easy access from the UK. All areas are available to guests We give our guests space but are available when needed As well as being a rural retreat, there are many things to do and see in the area. If you are interested in history there are an abundance of Chateaus and Abbeys to explore nearby. If the great outdoors is your passion then you can breathe in the fresh air of the Bresle Valley and explore the many idyllic walking and cycling routes or play a round of golf. With the coast being just half an hour away, why not seek out the various activities including sailing and fishing. We recommend you have a car to get around, we are a 10 minute drive to the closest towns/villages (Aumale, Blangy-sur-Bresle or Beaucamps-le-Vieux). If you fancy immersing yourself into the typical French way of life, then we have a beautiful scenic route whereby you can walk to the local boulangerie to buy your fresh baguette in the morning. We now offer breakfast packages as well as lunch mezze platters. Please check out the all new website. We provide some complimentary essentials to start your holiday. These include: >Mini croissants, small milks and some fruit juice >one coffee pod per guest, tea, hot chocolate and sugars >Washing up liquid, cleaning products >One dishwasher tablet for each night of your stay >Dish cloth >One spare bin liner >Two toilet rolls per bathroom >condiments >Hand/ body soap in bathrooms We have a BBQ located on the decking area. There is a fee of €20 if you wish to use it for the entirety of your stay. We provide coals for your first use, fire lighters and BBQ utensils. At the end of every stay our team will do a deep clean of the BBQ in preparation for our next guests. We would like to kindly remind guests that we are a self-catering gîte and any extra essentials must be brought with or purchased by our guests. We have supermarkets within a ten minute drive. We provide your first basket of wood, kindling and fire lighters for the wood-burner free of charge, thereafter it is €5 per basket (including kindling and fire lighters). As stated in the ‘House Rules’, we have a top of the range hot tub with 26 massage jets, mood lighting and Bluetooth speakers. This is available to enjoy throughout your stay, there is a fee of €80 for the use. This must be paid in cash upon arrival or booked direct through the website. Check in is between 5pm - 7pm. Check out is 11am. If you would like to extend your time in the gîte please check with us and we will try our best to accommodate early check in/late check out, we charge a small fee of €10 per hour.
