Riverview Cottage 2 - Umtendwe beach cottages

Umtendwe is a small private nature reserve with two thatched luxury African-style holiday cottages. Situated alongside the beach and a small lagoon, the cottages are surrounded by unspoilt nature at its best – pristine beaches, bays, milkwood trees, green hills and lush forest provide the setting for an idyllic stay at this amazing gem of South Africa’s Eastern Cape Coast. We have 2 cottages. The rate quoted here is for 1 cottage. Please enquire should you want to book both. Each sleeps 8. The living areas of the cottages flow to shady, wind-protected areas under the milkwood trees, a mere few metres from the beach and small lagoon. There are many shaded forested areas for reading, dining or simply chilling, each with its own character. This area is ideal for parents and children, with safe and convenient swimming and playing areas along the Umtendwe lagoon. A special feature of this site is the wind protection around the cottages and the sheltered serene decks around the lounges and bedrooms. Hikes and beach walks accessible and sign posted. There are 2 cottages available if you have a smaller party and are only needing 1 cottage for your stay then you can rent just one for R1500/day. Sleeps 8. If you would like to rent both cottages it’s R3000/night for 16 guests. High season the same applies but the rate is R2500/cottage (Sleeps 8) or R5000/night for both cottages (Sleeps 16) Close to a beautiful beach, surfing, fishing, diving and swimming. You can swim in the river at high tide! Great walks and the cottages are surrounded by nature! It’s partly tar, partly dirt road to the cottages. All cars can manage the road unless heavy rains. Then it’s preferable to have a bigger vehicle. The rate is R3000/night for both cottages. If you are 8 people or less and require only one cottage, then the rate is R1500 for one cottage. Please note the cottage has 3 bedrooms 1 double & and the other 2 rooms each have a double & single bed in the same room. High season the same applies but the rate is R2500/cottage (Sleeps 8) or R5000/night for both cottages (Sleeps 16)
