Within 15 minutes of the (relative) hustle and bustle of Dullstroom village, Amberley Mountain Reserve provides you with the unique experience of complete privacy and seclusion without being remote. Enjoy all that the 900 ha of the estate has to offer. Accommodation includes 6 bedrooms, with 2 en-suite bathrooms and 2 shared bathrooms. There is a beautiful lounge with a TV and fireplace, an extensive dining room, a large kitchen and a second TV lounge. You'll enjoy walking into the expansive entrance hall with a full window that looks out to the landscape of the estate - you may even spot some of the plains animals that roam close by. ~ The open plan living area includes a spacious lounge with three couches adjacent to an Italian crafted Brazilian mahogany bar (which we’re very proud of). A large wood fireplace adds to the ambience in the cool evenings. ~ From here and next to the open plan kitchen is a dining area with a beautiful 10-seater mahogany dining table and chairs. ~ The kitchen has a Bosch double oven and stove top. It is fully equipped with everything you need to cook meals at home or you could join the locals at one of the many restaurants in Dullstroom. ~ Off the kitchen is a separate TV lounge (we have specifically kept a TV out of the main lounge) with a smart TV connected to a full DSTV bouquet and WiFi that allows one to watch your favorite shows on your Netflix profile. Young children can be easily accommodated here, close to parents whilst not intruding on social activities centered around the open plan orientation of the lodge. ~ The front veranda , which is dominated by a larger custom-made teak table and benches, is the ideal area to have a braai. After a busy day having hiked and fished on the estate or shopped in Dullstroom, soak in the bathtubs or fall asleep in the quiet, restful bedrooms and enjoy the views of the plains. It offers the best in luxury: ~ Cotton percale linen ~ King size pillows ~ Blackout curtains ~ Electric blankets ~ Spacious bathrooms Four double bedrooms downstairs, and two upstairs. Downstairs, ~ Queen bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath. ~ The second bedroom has twin singles and a shower in the en-suite bathroom. ~ The third and fourth bedroom each have twin singles and share a large en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower, and double vanities. Upstairs, ~ Main bedroom with spectacular views (including both the sunrise and the sunset) across much of the property. A separate dressing room adjoins as too does a large en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower, and double vanities. ~ Adjacent to this room, and ideal if you’re looking to have young children close-by but separate, is the sixth bedroom with twin singles. ~ A large study lined with mahogany book shelves and a small fireplace also makes up the upstairs area - an ideal place for a work from home set up or a quiet, private space for pre-dinner drinks. Our on-site managers, Mike and Liza, will be available when needed The lodge sits on a slope overlooking several large trout dams with magnificent vistas looking north. Herds of plains game can be watched from all of the six bedrooms and entertainment areas in the lodge. Complete privacy and solitude prevails, despite the lodge at Amberley Mountain Reserve being only 15 minutes from the center of town.
