Riverside Cottage (no running water or shower)

Riverside Cottage is a relaxing waterfront forest cabin with stunning northern views. This cottage is best suited to guests accustomed to camping and living without running water. Campers/hikers lookings for a place to relax during summer, or people who love the winter wilderness will enjoy Riverside Cottage. Perfect for watching the northern lights in winter and the midnight sun in summer. The cottage features a private sauna outside. (please note: no running water). Pets allowed on request. Riverside Cottage is a 150 metre walk down a forest path from reception/carpark/shared shower room. Please note that this nature path can be snowy/muddy and uneven depending on the weather. Please advise your arrival/departure times so we can assist with luggage. With northern river views at the front and surrounded by forest, you are sure to find this place comfortable and relaxing. The cottage houses up to 5 guests with 2 in each bedroom (2 singles & 1 bunkbed) and space for a 5th person on the sofa bed. Very little light pollution in this area gives you a great opportunity to watch the northern lights dance in the sky during winter. From this waterfront property, you can also enjoy the sparkling water of the Torne River and the midnight sun during summer. In the cottage you will have private access to a dry toilet, a kitchen with a 4-burner stove, fridge and cooking equipment, living/dining room, fireplace, and two bedrooms. Your own wood-fire sauna is located just outside your cabin and you can also have use of the shared shower facilities near reception/carpark (150m walk from cabin). Aurora Camp is located 12km from the centre of Kiruna. It is in a unique and secluded location by the Torne River, surrounded by the beautiful forest. There is no public transport to Aurora Camp. We offer FREE on-site parking. There is no public transport but you can book a transfer with us at any time for 600 SEK/minivan one way (1-8 guests). Otherwise, in WINTER (15NOV-15MAR) we offer two standard transfers per day for 150 SEK per person. (Aurora Camp to Kiruna City Centre 11:00am. Kiruna City Centre to Aurora Camp 16:30.) Please note: All transfers must be pre-booked. Please note: There is no running water in this cottage. Water will be provided by staff for drinking/cooking/washing. There is no shower in the Riverside Cottage, however a shared shower room is available for use near reception (150m walk). We can assist with getting your luggage to/from the cottage with a snowmobile during winter, or quad bike during summer - please advise arrival/departure times in advance so we can help you. You can also book tours with us! Tours include: snowmobiling, dogsledding, northern lights, ICEHOTEL, Sami village, mine tours, city site-seeing etc. Just ask the staff at Aurora Camp :) Equipment rental available such as: canoe, boat, fishing equipment, mountain bike, snow shoes etc.
