This light-filled and colorful apartment sleeps 4 people. Located in part historic, part up and coming, Brush Park. Minutes walk to Midtown and Downtown Detroit. One block from Little Caesar's Arena. Two blocks from Comerica Park and Ford Field. The Q/M1 Rail is one block away. Wholefoods, for all your munching needs, is minutes away, as well. This cozy apartment accommodates 4. No extra guests. 8 story building in historic Brush Park-has nice views throughout. *Elevator building, the apartment is on the 6th floor and accommodates 4 people Queen size bed-2 Two twin beds-2 Bedding and towels are included. Roku TV Microwave Coffee maker The building was constructed in the 1920's, of course, with some recent renovations. Lots of original details prevail. Many have described the look and vibe of the building as an old, NY apt building. The other tenants: multiracial, families, students, young professionals, blue collar workers, seniors...a pretty mixed bag. *The elevator built in the 1920's can be a little temperamental. Translation, doesn't always work. If you have difficulty walking up stairs I do not recommend this apartment. Even though the elevator works pretty smoothly there is always a chance during your stay (of course) it may be out of order. The doors work manually with an old-style accordion gate. Heads up, Detroit is 420 friendly, you may smell a little herb coming from an apartment or two. Spotlight Review- "If you, like me, get a lot out of charming legacy buildings with elevators for example that require manually opening the elevator doors, this place is for you. Despite the age, I found the apartment clean and felt completely safe. Like it or not, developers (one developer in particular) are buying up lots of land in and near downtown Detroit, and those developers (or one developer) have seen it fit to hire private security to patrol the streets all day and practically all night it seems, including the blocks around this building. Not sure what it is, but this building seems to be a hold out or at least it hasn't been torn down and replaced yet. Didn't need a car at all while I was here--just a block from public transit and only a few blocks to a Whole Foods." Feb 2019, Oscar A. Guests have access to the entire apartment. I will be happy to help you with finding what you need throughout the city and lead you in the right direction for food, drink, and entertainment in the city. Any questions I'm here to answer, if not in person, by phone, text or email. Attractions and restaurants, etc within walking distance from the building: Little Caesar's Arena Comerica Park Whole Foods Ford Field Fox Theatre Fillmore Theater Detroit Opera House Theater Eastern Market Wayne State University Detroit Symphony Orchestra Cafe D'mongos Speakeasy Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Co. & Bar Heidelberg Project Detroit Institute of Arts Michigan Science Center Greektown Casino Michael Symon's Roast I will be happy to help you with finding what you need throughout the city and do my best to lead you in the right direction for food, drink, and entertainment in the city. Parking (free) is available behind and in front of the building. I have one parking permit you can use during your stay. Getting to the apartment from the airport you can use Skoot. You have to reserve your seat, the shuttle will bring you to the building. Getting around once you're here, I recommend Uber or Lyft. You have to download the app to your phone, if you don't already have it. The M1/Q Line is one block away from the building. There are also taxis and the Woodward bus that will take you downtown. (Public Transit is not the best, I recommend walking, biking or car service/cabs...lastly driving, you'd save on parking costs if you do the first three.) The elevator, built in the 1920's, is old and temperamental. Translation, doesn't always work. If you have difficulty walking up stairs I do not recommend this apartment. Even though the elevator works pretty smoothly there is always a chance during your stay (of course) it may be out of order. With Urban Renewal in full swing, there's on-going construction in the immediate area. I've supplied the apt with ear plugs and a white noise machine, if needed.
