Herberg Salomons ( Inn Salomons)

In a small village I found the house of my dreams. My house is build by a captain who lived in this village. At that time there was a harbour. (the forth most important one of the Netherlands) .On the first floor of my very old (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) house you find a space with 2 sleeping rooms, bathroom and space to cook small meals en eat your breakfast on a kitchen table. This space is for the guests only. Pots and pans, dishes, cups, cutlery, are there to use. Due to the Corona crisis, we follow the guidelines of the RIVM. Between the reservations we air the rooms for at least 1 hour and only then clean. We only have contact with our guests via the ( (Hidden by Airbnb) or by telephone. We ask our guests to put the laundry and garbage at the bottom of the stairs when leaving so we do not have to enter the room immediately after departure. Downstairs, of a listed building, there is a living/diningroom with al small kitchencorner and garden. Upstairs there is a spacious sitting / bedroom (4x6 m) on the first floor , accessible by a fixed open staircase, with 2 beds. There is an extra bedroom (2.10x4 m) with 2 more beds if a group of 3 or 4 people wants to stay. The rooms are therefore not rented out separately. In consultation, guests can get items for breakfast or a hot meal in the evening for a small fee. (please let us know a few days in advance) Plates, cutlery, pans, glasses and cups etc. are provided. There are plenty of towels, washcloths, towels and tea towels and extra bed linen, but you can always ask for more. There are no extra costs. The beds for the number of guests arriving are made upon arrival. One can use wifi (free). There are many books and games available that can be used. The entire inn (the apartment) consists of a living room with kitchen corner on the ground floor with an adjacent garden. In addition, there is an upper floor with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with toilet and a spacious landing. Washing and drying is possible in consultation, as well as the use of the garage. There is 1 room in the house where smoking is allowed in consultation with your own company. The host is avalible most of the time to answer you're questions, remarks or comments. If she is not there she will let you know but even then she can be contacted by phone. The village is situated nearby different city's like Emmen (20km with a big zoo), Groningen (38km, city with a lot of student so also lots of bars, bistro's, and small restaurants and musea and cinema's), Stadskanaal (5km, for shopping everything you need, cinema), Veendam 20km, old treinstation and a history like Gasselternijveen). The border of Germany is only 25 km away. In summertime there is a swimmingpool in the village. There is a butcher and bakery and a small supermarket (supermarkt: mostly open untill 8PM and on a sunday) and a liquerstore, small giftshop, 2 cafetaria, tea garden, farmershop (bluebery's, eco meat, fruit and vegetables, , dairyproducts. bicyclerepairshop Nature reserves can already be found at 600 m from my house. There are several possibilites to take a bus or train. The nearest busstop is 300m a way. It is possible to rent bikes in the naberhood. Trainstations you can find in Assen, Groningen,Veendam and Emmen. Parking is allowed in front of the house for a short time, 20 meters from the Inn there is a lot of parking space too (free) The inn is located in a former old skipper's house from (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) in a quiet village. It is still barely insulated and is heated by gas and electric heaters. The first sitting/bedroom is located at the front of the house so that the traffic can be heard. The space must be treated with care, especially where fire safety is concerned. The house is noisy, and has creaky old wooden floors and low-hanging beams on the upper floor. In the winter period, the rooms that do not have stoves or where heating is not constantly turned on it can be on the cold side. at first. In a hot summer it can be very hot upstairs. A fan is provided. Smoking is not allowed upstairs.
