A beautiful cottage, close to town and the national park, 20 Km East or West. Situated next to Gljúfrasteinn, home, now a museum of Nobel winner Halldór Laxness - on the Golden Circle. The cottage sleeps up to 4 people, equipped with a kitchen, shower, wifi, and modern amenities. An experience for tourists or artists looking for inspiration and peace. High probability for Northern Lights, just step outside. Close to Reykjavik, park ,paths and now a small volcano is erupting. The Cottage is in Mosfellsdalur a 20 minute drive from Reykjavík. It is on the way to Thingvellir, Gullfoss, Geysir - that are the most popular tourist attractions in Iceland. We are registered with local authorities HG (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) The cottage is not shared. The persons who book/confirm have it all to themselves. The owners live in a property next to the Cottage, and are available at any time. We have decades of media experience and have virtually been in every corner of the island. The cottage is in a rural area. In the autumn you can find seasonal berries and mushrooms growing wild - with of course the museum of Halldór Laxness in 100m distance, where every Sunday there is a program of music. Close by, n the summer a famers market is operated every Saturday. A golf course and horse rental are in walking distance. In Mosfellsbær you will find grocery stores, alcohol-shop, restaurants, a renowned bakery and cafés. Two public swimming pools are in Mosfellsbær, - Varmárlaug and Lágafellslaug, the latter being very modern and children friendly. Quarantine is easy. We fetch supplies - no additional cost. Guests can request more information on arrival. Public transport will take you to Mosfellsbær, which is a 7 mintue drive. We recommend a private car. Around the property are many exciting walking routes.
