Park House Farm Cottage Retreat - Covenham

Park House Cottage is a spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom self-catered holiday cottage. It sits on the Motley's farm land in the Lincolnshire countryside near to the Lincolnshire Wolds - an area of outstanding natural beauty. Previously two cottages, Marcus renovated and restored them, keeping all of the original features to form a lovely family home . You will enjoy the peace and tranquillity of private grounds, Cows grazing in the field and a truly private retreat with your family and pets. If it's the `Great Outdoors' that calls you then welcome to perfect walking and cycling countryside. Dogs are welcome here and a lockable outbuilding can provide a safe place for your much loved bicycle. For families you can also enjoy your own space, nearby beaches, attractions and adventures for all. So much to do locally there is no need to travel far to enjoy and explore both countryside and coast. You have all of the space in the grounds to yourself. There is plenty of parking space. You have enclosed gardens to three sides of the property with lots of space to have fun! We ask that you do not enter the surrounding fields which our cattle graze in. They are very chilled out and will come and say hello when they reach the house., They will see you having fun and they are curious! They ARE only interested in eating and looking after their calf's so just enjoy the peace and they will then continue to graze all day!!! Marcus lives in the main family farm house minutes away in the village and Marisa (Cousin) who will be co-hosting is close by in a neighboring village. They want your stay to be a happy memorable and comfortable one and will be available to assist you. We wish to welcome you and show our faces on arrival. That way you will be reassured and can ask questions on arrival. We are close by and will do our best to assist you with anything you require. Covenham (St Mary's and Bartholomew) are historic villages, originally separate in the 1400's but now blend imperceptibly. There are two churches one of which is now redundant but its impressive stonework can be viewed from the outside. Covenham Reservoir attracts nature lovers all year round and leisure uses include sailing wind surfing and water skiing. Near to the Reservoir you can enjoy picking your own fruit at `Braders or checking out the local produce in their Farm Shop. You don't have to go far to relax and enjoy a fabulous choice of food and beverages at the Mill House Bar and Restaurant. It sits across the road from Park House and this stunning Thatched property and beautiful gardens are the perfect backdrop to enjoy excellent food recommended by many locals and visitors. Currently the Mill House is only operating over the weekend due to the Pandemic. We are hopeful that our local pubs find normality and thrive again very soon. Your stay at Park House offers a private base and a retreat which enables you to do whatever your wishes are. There is so much to explore without venturing too far. The nearest town is the Market Town of Louth offering a number of independent shops, eateries and local food products as well as Leisure facilities. Lets not forget the hidden gem of `Hubbards Hills a picnic paradise for families set in the heart of Louth itself. So much to explore and both countryside and coast. Cleethorpes, Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea, are all close by if its the coast that calls. Park House was due to go on airbnb in March 2020. Due to Covid Restrictions we have only just listed. Our pricing daily, including weekends and holidays will remain the same until April next year. We feel that in the current situation we are all in, that every day is the same and whilst the opportunity of 6 remains we wish our house to bring some fun and joy where possible.
