We are only a 3 hour’s drive to the Brenner Pass. Corte Spinata offers guests two self-catering apartments to choose from: 1. An apartment “Elena” (visible on this website) with 1 double bedroom, 1 kitchen/living room with a sofa bed for two adults/children. 2. Corte Spinata is a traditional courtyard country house. We bought it in 2017 and renovated it with love and care. We have 4 separate apartments which you can see in detail on our own “Corte Spinata” . My wife and I often spend the weekend here with our family, although we live in Verona. Running alongside our farm is a cycle route and, a stone's throw away, there’s a landing pier for cruises on the Po River. We are in Melara, near Ostiglia, in the centre of the Art quadrangle of the historic cities of Verona, Mantua, Ferrara and Venice. Our country-home is the perfect base for enjoying both Italian nature and culture. Corte Spinata is situated in a UNESCO Man and Biosphere reserve called “PO GRANDE “. Corte Spinata is ideal for truly relaxing: snoozing, reading, looking at the internet, cycling along the river Po, fishing, playing in the open fields or pottering around the vegetable garden. If you love to cook, you’ll be pleased with our well-equipped kitchen as well as an outdoor stone fireplace and barbeque. Guests can help themselves to any fruit (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and grapes) as well as the season’s vegetables in the garden. We envisioned our apartments as base for a Grand tour, a cultural exploration of Italy in the style of travelers in the 17th and 18th centuries, discovering the legacy of classical art and renaissance masterpieces; or as a home away from home for those who are studying or working remotely for periods up to 18 months.
