The Gardenhouse is a quaint little sanctuary with a modern decor. Set in a glorious garden that cascades down to the Buckow lake, it is an ideal base to explore the Maerkische Schweiz on foot or by bike. Or enjoy diving into the clean water of the lake, pass time in the peace and quietness of nature, have a glass of wine and relax. We look forward to welcoming you. The Gardenhouse is designed for 2 people but the sofa bed in the living room can sleep another 2 people comfortably. The Gardenhouse is a little stand alone house. Downstairs is a newly installed, fully functional kitchen. It has a work desk, a round dining table with 4 chairs and a lounge with an L shaped sofa that extends to a double bed. This is separated from the entrance corridor and features a lovely working wood burner which creates very cosy heat. A staircase leeds up to the first floor with a modern bathroom and another double bed on the gallery. There is extensive storage room. You have your own terrace behind the house. The extensive garden is for the guests to use: there is a terrace outside the garden house with its own little herb garden for you to enjoy. Jump into the lake from our private jetty or use it as a sun deck. I will greet you, show you around and explain everything when you arrive and bid you farewell when you have to go. Occasionally I am staying myself in the main house which is adjacent to the garden house. It is a very peaceful place. We have lovely neighbours to one side and the next deck at the lake belongs to the fishing club of the town, where you can obtain daily permits for fishing. Otherwise very few neighbours share the lake with us. Our property is very well connected. A car is useful to get to us. However, you can also take the train to Muencheberg and then cycle a short distance or take the bus to Buckow. The other option is Straussberg, which has its own S-Bahn connection (public overground train) to Berlin. The S5 takes you from Straussberg Nord to Berlin main station in 1h every 20 min. From Straussberg to Buckow takes about 15 min by Taxi, but there are also buses. Cycling is perfect in our area, this town is on the European Cycling Route! Check in is at 15h and check out at 10h. Guests who want to arrive earlier or stay longer can leave their luggage in the cellar. Please note: we take great care to clean our flats properly to adhere to the Covid 19 protocoll but foremost to allow you to have a wonderful stay in our house. This takes time. But we obviously want you to enjoy your stay as long as possible and not move the check in time even further into the afternoon. Therefore we need you to leave the house swept clean, bed linen taken off and bins emptied. Unfortunately we had a few instances were the flats were rather dirty. If that is the case for your check out, we will have to invoice you for the extra time needed to put it in the state that you found the flat in. I hope you understand.
