Hawthorn@Waingrove Farm and Fishing Lake

Hawthorn cottage at Waingrove Farm is one of two delightful, fully equipped holiday cottages. The cottage has been lovingly restored from an old farm building and is immaculately maintained. The cottage has traditional old pine furniture, pale walls and country linens. Hawthorn overlooks a private gravelled courtyard. There is also a private rear garden with garden furniture as a well stocked private fishing pond. We have a tourist information room on site which has maps, leaflets and books. The courtyard, garden , lake and farm are all available to you. We live on site in the old farmhouse, so a warm welcome awaits your arrival! We are on hand if you need assistance or if anything should go wrong. We are situated just 6 miles from Louth, also known as The Capital of the Wolds. Louth is a lovely market town with a beautiful church, gorgeous open parks , Westgate Fields and Hubbards Hills , and many bespoke shops. There are numerous pubs and eateries, from traditional old English to Tapas bars. Farmers markets are held regularly in the market square. We are very rural so you will need transport! We are afew yards from the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway, steam engines run at certain times such as Bank Holidays and Sundays. The engines can be heard periodically from the farm grounds. Its a novelty hearing a steam train!
