This spacious maisonette (approx. 1000 square feet/93 square meteres) features two double bedrooms, an open plan living room (with sofa bed, sleeps 2), a gallery (sofa bed, sleeps 1-2) and a balcony overlooking Lake Ruppin. The kitchen is equipped with cooker (4 hobs) and oven, microwave, coffee machine, refrigerator as well as a dishwasher. The flat has 2 bathrooms. A washing machine is available in the basement. The property was built in 1996 within an old manor. It is set in spacious grounds with direct access to the lake, which is suitable for swimming. 2 bicycles are provided for your free use. Guest also enjoy free WiFi access. Canoes and motorboats are available for rent locally (Altfriesack and Neuruppin). Ruppiner Land features many small towns and villages linked to local history. Among the local towns, Neuruppin and Rheinsberg deserve special mention, nearby Altfriesack, Wustrau and Altruppin are pretty lakeside villages. Berlin is a mere hour away by train or car. Favorite pasttimes are swimming, cycling, canoeing, fishing, walking. Lake Neuruppin and surrounding lakes offer excellent opportunities for bird-watching. Black kites, red kites, storks and cranes regularly breed around Lake Neuruppin. Cranes can be observed in hundreds during migration season. We have observed ospreys in the vicinity. Sea eagles are regularly spotted in the region, golden eagles occasionally.
