The Doremifasol in lovely Montclair

The Doremifasol offers you superb hosting and a comfortable bed, breakfast upon request and a place to rest your weary bones after a whole day of running around in the Greatest City in the World. It is a wonderful oasis for a parent/student college visits in both NYC & NJ, alumni weekends, bar-mitzva's, weddings and just entertainment. Lots of good places to eat and seven parks! Modernized Cape-Cod style one-family home on a quiet, lushly wooded street in Montclair, approx. 12 miles (30 min.) west from Times Square. What I offer my guests is the following: •up to three bedrooms and two full baths, depending on availability, max 8 people •FIOS TV w/HBO, Showtime, Encore, On Demand etc, in two of three bedrooms •Anna's Magical Breakfast on demand (i.e whole-groats oatmeal with a mound of berries and fruit, yogurt, wholesome toast and/or croissant, eggs, cheese, jam, coffee and tea etc) •Shared use of kitchen (at times other than breakfast $5 donation per family), living room, dining room and wood deck overlooking a lush back yard •Upright Baldwin in L.R. at your disposal •An altogether unique and charming atmosphere and just enough caring attention from the hostess to make your stay a success. First floor: Full size pull-out sofa w/excellent memory foam mattress (TV) in one room , two single beds (TV) in the other. Second floor: full size bed in one room, queen + twin in the other 10 minute walk to NYC bus, (10 seconds during rush hours; bus stops at the corner of Euclid and Grove), 15 minute walk to commuter train. Each will deliver you to the heart of the city (Theatre District @ Times Square) within 25-45 min., depending on time of day. My driveway accommodates four guest cars. Montclair is a one-of-a-kind artsy and exciting town with lots of places to eat, shops, galleries, seven parks authored by Olmstead Brothers, four open public swimming pools, two ice-skating arenas, art museum (art classes), historic homes, iris gardens, Peak Performances at the Montclair State University and International Film Festival sponsored by Stephen Colbert, just to name a few attractions. This lovely town with a view of New York City is famous for its many assets, such as art museum, independent film festivals sponsored by Stephen Colbert (yes!) tennis courts, seven wonderful parks designed by the architects of Central Park, art cinema, live theater and lots of incredible places to eat. We are 15 minutes walk from Walnut Street train Station and 10 minutes walk from the NYC DeCamp commuter bus #33 or #88. During rush hours the #33G NYC bus stops at the corner of my street which is 1 minute from my location. to go to NYC you can do it in a number of ways: bus during rush hours at the corner of my street -33G DeCamp bus at all times about 10 minutes away (scheduled every half hour) 33 DeCamp A train NJT Boonton Line 15 minute walk to Walnut Street Note: commuter buses are not in service during pandemic.
