La Veta Studio Guesthouse

This charming studio guesthouse is located in the historic town of La Veta, Colorado. It nestles in a large corner property filled with perennial gardens and walkways. Enjoy the ambience of the New Mexico territorial cottage, festooned with grapevines and flower pots. Judith and her husband Ernest are long time residents. Judith runs her fibre art studio from home. She often hosts students from all over the world and frequently offers the studio guest house for rent. The interior features an eclectic mix of antique furniture and artwork along with a fully stocked kitchen. Each room has overhead fans with window fans in the living room and bedroom. Guests have private, full access to the cottage guest house, across the yard from the main house. It's very quiet with a beautiful private porch. Guests have their own parking area and gate entrance. Pets are allowed only with permission from the host. Cats are not advised due to a territorial cat belonging to the host. There is a very large fenced-in yard that is available to guests and shared with the host's friendly pets. We will often be at home and available if needed. We give our guests lots of privacy and space. Walking distance (two blocks) from Main Street shops and restaurants. Short drive to amazing hiking and biking trails in the Spanish Peaks. It is very easy to walk around La Veta. There are bikes for rent at the library on Main Street. We have three little dogs--very sweet, very friendly. You're likely to see and interact with them in the yard. They are moochers and not allowed in the Studio Guesthouse!
