Come relax in this spacious home where animals come to drink from your private waterhole whilst you relax on your verandah. Enjoy up close encounters with various animals that include wildebeest, giraffe, impala, duiker and suni, both near the home or whilst you enjoy one of the various self-guided walks available in the reserve. A birders paradise! Nearby attractions include Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve, Sodwana Bay (a dream for divers!) to name just a few. A super space to relax & unwind. This open plan home not only has all the luxuries that one looks for in a holiday home but holds the opportunity for amazing animal sightings, without even leaving the verandah! There is both an indoor and outdoor lounge for your comfort. Both rooms have got air-conditioning. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom that includes a bath and both an indoor and outdoor shower. Nothing better than having a shower under the stars while hearing a bush baby call nearby! Beautiful walks in the game reserve allow you to see nature up close. The walks are self-guided so please your discretion when you come across wildlife. These are wild animals so please do not try to feed them and/or stroke them. The use of the self guided walks are at your own risk. Incredible nearby attractions are numerous!! These include Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve (Big 5 Game Reserve), Sodwana Bay (Divers paradise) , St.Lucia, Cape Vidal, Black Rock and Kosi Bay to name a few! Guests will have access to the entire home. There a few cupboards that will be locked as they contain some personal items. There is both a fridge and deep freeze in the kitchen in addition to the dishwasher and washing machine which guests are welcome to use (limited dishwasher tablets, washing machine powder and softener will be provided) We don't currently have a television as we feel Tunzi is a space to relax and reconnect with nature and each other. There is a large assortment of books, magazines, puzzles etc - please feel free to use them. Please ensure that you do not take these items home with you, we rely on your honesty. I don't live on site but I'm always reachable telephonically Kuleni is a magnificent game reserve where you lose track of time as you wonder through its many marvels. Even though you can feel like you're in another world, the town of Hluhluwe can help to provide your basic needs when you need them. The town of Hluhluwe is a 10-15 minute drive from Kuleni. You can get basic groceries from either the local Spar (including a 'Tops' for alcohol purchases) and/or Shoprite. There is a local pharmacy that is open during the week (half day on Saturday). Lovely local butchery ('Allan's butchery') can cater for your braai (barbecue) needs! There is a petrol station in Hluhluwe. Take away options include Wimpy, Steers & KFC. Public transit is irregular and unreliable at times so it is advisable to use your own transport or hire a vehicle. The roads within Kuleni are sand roads but are accessible with a light motor vehicle. Occasionally we do have power outages which usually only last a short period of time. There are candles and matches available if this does happen. The water pumps are connected to the electricity so the water will be off for duration of the electricity outage unfortunately. The tap water is safe to drink but please bring bottled water if you would prefer to do so. There is a 25litre water dispenser that we keep filled with clean water which you are welcome to use.
