Field View is all on the ground level, with an open plan living space with electric wood burner, 32" TV, Wi-Fi and patio doors overlooking the patio area. There is also a master bedroom with an en-suite shower room, separate utility room and a spacious patio area overlooking the fields. Situated in the village of Epney on the banks of the Severn, the village was inhabited in the late 13th century. It hosts a family-run, local country pub which is a 5-minute walk away, with lovely views of the river. They serve home cooked food, sunday lunches and great beers, booking is advisable! The Severn Bore can be seen from here, dates and times the bore passes through can be found online. The Gloucester and Sharpness Canal was once the broadest and deepest in the world, and can be accessed from many points along its route. The nearest to Field View is Parkend Bridge, which is a 2-minute drive away. You can walk or cycle along the path, and if you fancy a boat trip these start from the dockside in Gloucester. Frampton on Severn is a 7-minute drive away and is said to host the longest village green in England, which is around 22 acres in size. Gloucester is the closest city, a 20-minute drive, and is known for its 11th-century cathedral which has Romanesque and Gothic architecture, plus the tomb of King Edward II. Some scenes for the Harry Potter films were also filmed here. Gloucester docks and the quays host fabulous restaurants, shops and bars, whilst the National Waterways Museum celebrates the city’s industrial past, with canal boats and interactive displays.
