Rose Cottage, St John's
Rose Cottage has been a holiday let since 2007. It is close to the historic village of St John's, rural countryside, Ballacraine corner on the TT course and the city of Peel and it's beach . You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, original features, south facing aspect and the history. The cottage is centrally located and ideal for exploring the island. This is a compact 1900 traditional stone built Manx cottage which is ideal for two people but can accommodate four with a second small bedroom containing adult size bunk beds. The galley kitchen is well appointed and includes a washing machine and a small dining area. The bathroom is on the ground floor and has a newly fitted walk in shower. The master bedroom has a double bed, while the small second bedroom has bunk beds for two people. Duvets and pillows are provided however due to COVID restrictions bed linen and towels are not provided. The garden has a patio and space equipped for outdoor dining. This area catches the sun due to it's south facing aspect. Off-road parking can accommodate two cars. The shed offers secure storage for motorbikes and cycles. The cottage is situated on a bend and care should be taken when reversing into the drive and only turn left on exit. Guests will be able to use all parts of the property. Accessibility Statement for Rose Cottage Rose Cottage is a small traditional Manx cottage. It is with regret we cannot accommodate wheelchair users for the following reasons: The doorways are narrow and there are steep stairs to the bedroom accommodation which is all located on the first floor. No provision can be made for a stair lift or lift because of the compact nature of the cottage. The cottage is situated on a slope which does contain steps to reach the different levels. Guide dogs are welcome to stay and there is a gated and fenced area around the cottage to keep them safe from the road. Please get in touch to see if we can assist in anyway with any special needs. There are local people who can be available should you require assistance. Details of which are in the Information Folder in the cottage. This is a rural location, one third of a mile from St Johns. Sited near the Douglas to Peel Heritage Footpath which runs along the disused railway line. The TT course is one mile away with the nearest vantage point being Ballacraine corner. With a vehicle, all areas of the Island are within easy travelling distance. i. Good care should be taken of the property and contents and it should be left clean and tidy as the occupier will find it. ii. No liability is accepted for any loss, damage, sickness or injury, howsoever caused which may be sustained during the letting by the occupier or any member of the occupier’s party. Holiday Insurance is strongly advised.
