Upstairs apartment in a family home on a hill in Bayfield with beautiful views of the lake and islands. Century old traditional house surrounded by a quiet neighborhood. We live downstairs and are available to help guests with what to do in the area. 40k of groomed cross country ski trails less than 10 min. away! Sorry, no pets. 2nd floor apartment in an up and down duplex. Wonderful windows with great views of lake and islands. Century old traditional Bayfield house, hard wood floors and lots of nice woodwork throughout. Residential neighborhood but a very short walk to shops, restaurants and the lake shore. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, a living room, bath and full kitchen with a roomy dining/lounge area. The main bedroom has plenty of space and lake view. The 2nd bedroom is a small attic type space with limited headroom. Floor mattress can be put in the living room for more sleeping space. The first floor open front porch is shared community space. It’s a wonderful place to sit outdoors and look over the lake and islands. Sorry, we have a strict no pet policy. We like to meet guests, orient them to the house and be available for information about the area. Our residential neighborhood is on a hill overlooking the Apostle Islands. In less than 10 min. you can walk down town to find shops, restaurants, coffee houses, bars, parks, the harbor and the beach (Bayfield is a very small town, you can walk everywhere). We are located one short block from the Apostle Islands National Park visitor center. We are less than a 10 min. drive to over 40K of groomed cross country ski trails at Ashwabay in the winter. Walking is easy in Bayfield, so is biking (but there are hills). The ferry service or tour boat is the easiest way to access the islands.
