Comfy apartment on beautiful estate

This small granite house is the result of merging the original farmhouse with an old wine cellar. Consisting of a spacious room, with fire-stove, kitchenette and 2 single beds, a large double bedroom with a baby cot, with an overhead mezzanine, with 1 double bed, and one full toilet, plus an outside toilet, "Casa do Lagar" comfortably accommodates 2 adults and 4 to 2 teenagers/children. 1 extra travel cot can be added for a baby. Quinta do Panasco is a working farm, focusing mainly on cherries and olives (yielding a strong and rich olive oil). It consists of three old style granite farmhouses, totally renovated in 2010, combining a relaxing countryside feel with modern comforts. Consisting of a spacious sitting room with fully equiped kitchenette and firestove, and two single beds, large double bedroom with a queen size bed and a baby cot, and a mezzanine over the room with 1 double bed, it comfortably accommodates 2 adults, a baby and 2 to 4 children/teenagers. We can add 1 extra travel cot for a baby. Guests will have private access to the hole house, equipped with basic necessities (kitchenware, linen), and to a terrace with a small barbecue, WC and eating/resting area. You will also have shared access to a wood fired oven outside, swimming pool and outside barbecue area, as well as free access to the 15 hectare Estate - orchards, kitchen garden, olive grove, several ponds, a small pinewood and other farm features. There's a washing machine in the annex - ask us how to use it. Other guests or family members might be staying in one of the other houses, but the privacy of our guests is paramount. There's usually someone in the premises, taking care of the animals, who only speaks portuguese, but is willing to help anyway she can - her name is ISAURA. And you're always welcome to email me with any questions. At a driving distance from the town of Covilhã and Serra da Estrela, this is the perfect option for a family vacation in the countryside. No public transports stop at the estate, but there are coaches that stop at Peraboa, a small village 2km away. There's plenty of parking space at Quinta do Panasco. – Smoking is completely forbidden inside the house; – Guests may use the swimming pool on their on risk and are responsible for their own safety whilst in the pool area; – No children are allowed near the pool without adult supervision; – All non national guests are required to provide ID information, in order to comply with the Portuguese Immigration and Borders Service's (SEF) reporting requirements; - No pets allowed; - We provide linen and bedding. - High season - minimum 3 nights There's a variety of fruit trees around the estate (peach, pear, apple, cherry, fig, etc.), and a vegetable garden near the house. Feel free to pick some fruit and/or vegetables. There-s a friendly "serra da estrela" dog, RICKY, that run free around the Estate, geese, chicken and other farm animals.
