With miles of sandy beaches and the harbour just a stones throw away Wood Cottage is an ideal getaway, from walking to adventure holidays or just to relax away from real life. The newly refurbished cottage has been equipped with all necessary amenities. The cosy living room has a log burning fire as well as central heating to ensure the stay is as comfortable as possible. All rooms have a TV and free WiFi and the kitchen has plenty of space and equipment to cook up a storm. The full cottage is available for guests use including the private garden and conservatory. The Cottage is 50 metres from the beach. Wood Cottage is a 3 bedroom cottage and sleeps a maximum of 6 people. Guests have access and use of the full cottage for the full duration of their stay. We like our guests to take full advantage of all aspects of the cottage, its garden and other amenities to ensure you get the most out of your stay. We will be on hand to welcome you to the cottage** and show you around and share any local knowledge you may need before leaving you to enjoy the relaxing environment. We have plenty of small local shops in the area including a supermarket and independent retailers. There are lots of small atmospheric pubs in the local area each with it's own specialities. Some hidden gems are minutes stroll along the beach front for formal dining, breakfast or snacks. There are numerous busses that travel South to Stranraer/Dumfries or North to Ayrshire. The train station is on the mainline down the coast and also leads back up to Glasgow and is minutes from the cottage Local excursions include hill walking, fishing trips and regular boat trips to the famous 'Paddy's Milestone' Ailsa Craig. Kids parks, Swimming pool, Kids soft play, Gym, horse trekking, pedalo rides and amusements are only a short walk away.
