Hampden Room in Historic B&B in Winterport, ME

We are The Old Winterport Commercial House. Our historic building, once a Stagecoach Stop for travelers, now offers a unique 5 bedroom Bed & Breakfast. Aren't you on a special getaway? Then why stay someplace where you have to make your own bed, make yourself breakfast, and then pay a cleaning fee? We clean our rooms on a daily basis (no extra fee) as well as serve a nutritious breakfast each morning. We can also give you all kinds of ideas on what to do in our local area. All of the 5 rooms at The Old Winterport Commercial House are on the 2nd floor (no elevator) and are tastefully decorated with antiques from our 4,000 sq. ft. antique shop located on the 1st floor. Featured here is our Hampden Room which has 1 full size bed, accommodating a maximum of 2 people. Room also has a full private bathroom (ensuite). In addition to your room, you have access to our cozy library as well as the breakfast room 24/7. Our t.v. is also located in the breakfast room. Whether you want your privacy by staying in your room or visiting with the rest of the guests, that is your option. Your innkeepers, Ray and Ann Ronco, live on the 3rd floor and can be accessible to you, or give you the privacy you want. Our breakfast room refrigerator is stocked with complimentary bottled water, juices, and sodas. We also have a Keurig coffee machine available to our guests throughout the day and night. After breakfast bring your coffee or tea with you and come downstairs to look around our 4,000 sq. ft. antique shop. We have many unique and eclectic items from stained glass to furniture to glassware. All guests receive an automatic 10% off on purchases. We live on the 3rd floor so we are accessible but yet we are able to give our guests privacy. If you need us, simply ring our doorbell or call Ann on her cell phone which is attached to her hip 24/7. Take a stroll along the Penobscot River or visit some of our local shops such as our tea lounge called Tea Maineia and the Winterport Winery/Penobscot Bay Brewery. There is no public transportation. Attending a concert at Darlings Waterfront? We are located on the same road, just 10 miles directly south. Another reason our guests stay with us frequently. The Old Winterport Commercial House is fully licensed by the State of Maine and has been for 16 years. We offer discounts for Elk Members, cash payments, and 3 night consecutive stays. The Old Winterport Commercial House is a quiet, cozy, and convenient Bed and Breakfast for day tripping all over our area. Only 16 miles from Bangor International Airport, 10 miles from downtown Bangor, Maine, and approximately 45 minutes to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor (depending upon season.).
