The Olde Town Inn is a beautiful, boutique "bed and a bar" inn located in a neighborhood founded in 1736 by James Oglethorpe - and it has a very cool underground bar in the basement, The Fox's Lair, with live music 4 nites a week. Built in 1896, we have 4 lovely rooms, each with a private full bath. We are in walking distance to the best restaurants of downtown Augusta, entertainment venues, art studios, museums, as well as walking, running and bike paths. Our inn is more accurately described as a boutique hotel than a bed-and-breakfast, but we are still a "b 'n b" -- we do not offer breakfast but we do have a bar in the basement! A very cool live music venue that has been operating 40+ years. The inn is not our residence. We do live only 2 blocks away and respond instantly to any issues our guests may have. Our inn is not our residence. We meet you at your stated arrival time and check you in and get you oriented to the layout of the building, courtyard, and parking. We live only 2 blocks away and respond instantly to any issues our guests may have. And we certainly love meeting and socializing with our guests down in our bar in the basement, The Fox's Lair. We are in an historical neighborhood with many refurbished, historically maintained homes. Streets with shaded, landscaped medians. The neighborhood borders on the downtown business district. We have an off-street, semi-private parking area and a lovely gated courtyard to relax in. Be aware we do have a bar in our basement, The Fox's Lair. This room (D) is one floor above it and it is certainly possible to hear in this room activity going on in the bar when it is open on Tuesdays (till 10:00) and Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays past midnight.
