Beautiful, two bedroom (six beds) house in the newest part of the Village. Excellent location for travelling to North/South Strandir or Westfjords. Supermarket, swimming pool with hot tubs and gym, are within walking distance from the house. Up to six people can stay in the house. The house is very clean and everything is fully functional. Guests are required to pay cleaning fee of 80 EUR. Cleaning the house themselves is also an option available for guests staying a week or longer periods. Valid only through a special offer. Mimimum stay is 2 nights. Via email and telephone. Swimming pool and hot tubs just around the corner, built in 2005. The swimming complex also includes a gym. Supermarket is within walking distance, along with the wild beach. Beautiful scenery is all around the house. The town has a small unique restaurant, Cafe Riis, that serves fresh fish among other traditional meals. Another option is Kaffi Galdur, open all year round situated at The Museum of Icelandic Sorcery & Witchcraft in the town center. In Drangsnes, about 25 mins drive north of Holmavik, you find a nice restaurant at Café Malarhorn open all year round (subject to booking during winther). At Hotel Laugarholl in Bjarnarfjordur, about 25 mins drive north of Holmavik, you also find a good resaurant during the summer. No need for public transit within the town (Holmavik) Bus trips are available from Reykjavik. Local airport available for private planes. Those who love to fish, only need to walk down to the docks for some fishing activity. Fishing rods are available in the supermarket. For more tourist info there is an information center by the pool (in walking distance) and at the Museum of Icelandic Sorcery and Witchcraft. Holmavik also is an ideal location for those who want to see the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis). In November-December and February-March you have a great opportunity to see the incredible colours dancing in the sky.
