Waterside is a place of calm and tranquillity , accessed only by a private driveway down to the waters edge.The exclusive accommodation has uninterrupted views of the spectacular village of Alnmouth village and the magnificent Northumberland coastline, designated as an area of natural outstanding beauty. The cottages are very close tp the coastline cycle route. Bikes can be hired and dropped off at an additional fee. Waterside is a unique development of 3 spacious cottages which are close to Alnmouth and Warkworth. They are a place of calm. peace and tranquillity, accessed only by a private driveway down to the waters edge. They are situated by the water with fantastic views of Alnmouth and the coastline. The location has recently been used for the series 'Vera'. The cottages all have mixture of modern and old - the amazing wooden beams in the huge ceiling give them a feeling of space and uniqueness. The properties have all been renovated to a high standard. Church View has been voted as an area of outstanding beauty and this is one of the views from the cottages. South Beach and Alnmouth Beach are both very easily accessed - perfect for picnics and waterboarding. The white sandy dunes are a great place to visit and have fun. Alnmouth village can be accessed by foot or car. there is also a designated cycle path which leads to Alnmouth and Warkworth. A concierge service is also available with these properties, which includes an "AT Home" dining facility, so please ask for information when booking. Guests have the full use of the property and the outside lawned area is for all 3 cottages at Waterside. I live in the nearby village called Lesbury so I'm just a few minutes away if you need to see me. Alnmouth and Warkworth are very close to Estuary View. They are lovely traditional seaside villages which have great eating places and pubs and with amazing coastal walks. The villages are just a 5 minute drive away from the property or they are easily accessed via bicycle on the cycle path There are numerous buses which can take you to Warkworth and Alnwick. There is also Alnmouth train station which is in the East Coast railway link. There are regular trains to Newcastle and Edinburgh. Waterside is such a special area and the views are spectacular in all seasons. The sea and the beaches are gorgeous and this is where I have spent hours and hours with my children and friends. Alnmouth which is a 5 minute drive in the car has a lovely grocery store, gift shop, pubs and eating places. Walking, surfing, fishing, canoeing, sailing, cycling, bird watching and golfing are just some of the pursuits which are on the doorstep. You do feel that you have stepped back in time to an old fashioned beach holiday and this is where the uniqueness steps in. The area is very accessible by car or train but you do feel as though the crowds and the city are a million miles away.
