Snowdrop, amazing retreat with wood fired hot tub.

Snowdrop cabin is set in a spruce plantation near the small town of Port Ellen. Snowdrop cabins interior is modern yet comfortable, whilst nestling into its calm and tranquil surroundings. Snowdrop is made up of a sleeping Mezzanine, kitchen area, a log burning stove, electric heating and a modern bathroom moving outdoors there is a gas BBQ, a wood fired hot tub and an outdoor decked area perfect for enjoying the view with a dram, Slainte. Karen & Richard Snowdrop cabin is located approximately 5-minute drive from the town of Port Ellen which was founded and named in 1821 by Walter F Campbell who named the town Port Ellinor after his wife. The town has a few shops, a café, a restaurants and offers a sandy beach, tennis courts and bowling. Feel free to wonder, we love what we are creating, and we encourage you to explore the grounds, please let us if you can think of any ideas that we could implement to improve your stay. Carraig Fhada Lighthouse, one of our favourite walks only 15 minutes through an idyllic woods and along a perfect Hebridean beach from our cabin. If you are bringing your own vehicle, the parking area for Snowdrop is at the bottom of the driveway on the left hand side. Please don’t take your car up to the cabin. There are also various taxi companies and a bus service of which details and timetables can be provided on booking completion. Snowdrop cabin is nestled into the woodland providing the perfect spot to relax with your loved one and take advantage of our spectacular views without being interrupted. Our cabin is newly built and is finished to a high standard and furnished with comfy furniture and luxurious linen offering peace and ambiance in abundance. The cabin is named after one of our favourite woodland plants and we are delighted to share it with you. Providing luxury for a honeymoon and practicality for a hiking trip our cabin is suitable for all uses whilst re charging your batteries in tranquil surroundings. If you are booking the cabin for a special event please let us know in advance and we may leave you a surprise or two! Spend your day reading by the fire, enjoying the wildlife in the woods, walk to the singing sands or drive to Bowmore to browse the shops, the possibilities are endless. If you wish to see more of the island you can walk to Port Ellen and enjoy fish and chips by the sea or enjoy the sea view from one of the restaurants with a glass of wine in hand before returning home for a soak in the hot tub as the stars come out.
