The house is situated one of the most beautiful places in Lofoten, on the outer part of the archipelago but still protected in a fjord. It was constructed in 1930 to accommodate the priest of the Flakstad church, a beautiful wooden church built in 1780, situated next to the rectory. The area is peaceful and beautiful, with room for both outdoor activities and calm indoor activities in a pleasant environment. The house consists of seven bedrooms, two living rooms, a large dining room with capacity for twenty persons, two large bathrooms, a large storage cellar and a sized kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a Swedish AGA- oven, a heat storage cooker, with two large hotplates and four ovens. First floor is shared area which gives the guests access to kitchen, grand piano, dining area and sofa area. The house has no TV, but we will arrange movie nights with projector on rainy days. In the basement we have both drying and washing machine. We will offer tips of what the guests can do, and will be available for other Flakstad is a municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is part of the traditional district of Lofoten. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Ramberg, 3 km away from the house. The municipality is named after the old Flakstad farm, since the first church, Flakstad Church was built there. The priest and his family needed a proper place to live in, and along came the Flakstad House. If arriving from the mainland, one might arrive with the Moskenes Ferry from Bodø to Moskenes, from there it is a 30 minutes ride by car or bus. There are parking facilities next to the house.
