Benkard House - Large 2 BR in Downtown Newburgh

Welcome to Newburgh. Our 2nd floor apartment on Benkard has just been fully renovated. It can be rented as a 1 or 2 bedroom with plenty of amenities and just 2 blocks from the main drag of Liberty St. We love to use this space as a retreat from Brooklyn regularly. Newburgh is known for its racially diverse population and you can appreciate this on our block, with long time residents and newly settled artists. You will have full access to the apartment. It has lots of space and beautiful light. The master bedroom has an attached office for WFH. We are a half block from Liberty to enjoy all Newburgh has to offer. We won’t be on the property during your stay, but you can call, text or message us at anytime. The shops on Liberty, waterfront and ferry are a short walk. There are plenty of places to eat and galleries to visit while you are here, we will leave a list of our favorites for you. You probably will drive here, if so don’t forget to hit the farms, vineyards and breweries. Newburgh is still up and coming and definitely has areas that you should avoid. During the day you will be fine walking around and enjoying the city. At night it is recommended that you drive or call a car if you are headed out in the town. Our block is filled with families and on weekend evenings people like to hang out on the front stoops while the children play on the street and they listen to music. The noise has to our experience never crossed an unreasonable time but since we have a young baby, we keep a sound machine in the bedroom.
