Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, the property has recently been refurbished and is light, bright and welcoming.Accessed by two steps, internally the house is all on one level, with a deck leading out from the living room to the front, which faces west giving views of wonderful skies and sunsets. Guests are welcome to use any of the herbs growing in the enclosed rear garden. Although bordered by a road at the rear, any slight noise from the light traffic is muffled by a fence and trees. As the house is used frequently by the owner and family members, it is well equipped with normal every day items. The television receives only Netfix and there is a dvd player as well as a small selection of games The owner does not live locally, but will be in text or telephone contact. However family members living in the area and Kim, the go-to-girl will help in any way possible should this be necessary. A well stocked convenience store is a few minutes walk from the house, with a supermarket less than fifteen minutes walk away. Although there's a hill to climb to return, there's a public bus every hour which will drop you at the bus stop just a minute's walk from the house. In addition to the excellent Co-op down the hill, in the town centre, McLarens' baker shop and Bertrams the butcher are both excellent independent food retailers. A few minutes walk from the house is Kirrie Hill with its camera obscura, a slightly longer walk in the opposite direction will take you to Kinnordy Loch Nature Reserve. The skeins of geese returning there to roost in the autumn/winter is a wonderful sight. There are many excellent eating places in the area. Just up from Bon Scott statue in the centre of town, Three Bellies Brae for freshly prepared light lunches,Glen Clova Hotel or Armstrongs outside the town for something a bit more special to name but a few - guests are spoiled for choice! The property is well situated to access a wide variety of activities: rock climbing at nearby Kirrie Hill Quarry, the beautiful Angus glens with their unique wild life and walking for all abilities; the many golf courses, both very close at hand (half a mile away!) and further afield at Carnoustie, St Andrews, Pitlochry; Aberdeen is just over an hours drive and Royal Deeside is also easily accessed; Dundee , City of Discovery with its art galleries, the V & A Museum, the Science Centre is a bus ride away or take the car. it's less than half an hour.. Abbeys, castles, pictish stones, harbours and beaches - something for everyone's taste is within easy reach. We appreciate that many people like to bring their dogs with them. The owner needs to be advised of this and as it will entail extra work for the housekeeping lady (no matter how well behaved the dog), in order to maintain our high standard of cleanliness, a gratuity of £10.00 per animal per stay should be left in the house for her. Assistance dogs are of course exempt from this small charge.
