Beyond is woodland and parkland, with streams and a lake fed from the river Hozain which flows along the boundary. Wildlife abounds in this peaceful corner of rural France. The domaine is on the edge of the village of Rumilly les Vaudes and a region of rolling hills, vast forests and vineyards (Champagne, Chablis, Irancy). The house is a five minute stroll from the village's bar tabac and beautiful church, a five minute drive from good restaurants, shops, hairdressers etc. Golf, riding and water skiing are all within fifteen minutes drive. The historic city of Troyes, awarded three stars by the Guide Michelin, is twenty kilometers away. Troyes abounds in restaurants, fine architecture and narrow mediaeval streets.
