Detvan – getaway in Poľana mountains

Scenic landscape of Podpoľanie is the right choice for your next getaway. Detvan offers mountain views, bike tours, touristic routes…and much more without giving up the comfort you are used to. If you are looking for peace and quiet, Detvan is a great choice. It was built in 1912, but hardly looks historical. It consists of a modern and fully equipped kitchen connected to a spacious living room (with pull-out sofa), two bedrooms with king size bed, one single bedroom and a modern bathroom equipped with a corner bath and a toilet. Firehouse in a living room creates a perfect atmosphere and if you happen to work here or won’t survive without an evening movie, fast Wi-Fi connection and smart TV are available. You have the whole house at your disposal. I am available by phone and personal support is also provided if needed. Detvan is surrounded by a big garden offering enough space for the outdoor games or a grill party. There is a small terrace in the front yard and a boxing bag hung from the ceiling for the active ones. If you feel like releasing some stress, chop the wood, it’ll make my life easier. On the top of this, feel free to take some fruits from the trees. I use no fertilizers, so they are super-bio. Not far from Detvan, there is an amazing family farm offering horse rides, traditional craft lessons and producing fancy-not-fancy dairy products and bread. If you are lucky, you might get to taste some of those delicious products as well! However, located in the close vicinity of the Poľana Protected Landscape Area, it offers numerous touristic routes and natural and historical sights worth seeing. A trip to a waterfall Bystré, climbing at Kalamárka, unique bridge over river Slatina or a castle tour to Vígľaš are highly recommended.
