Summary: Tucked away just miles from the UConn forest, discover true relaxation and get back to nature! In Japanese taking in the forest atmosphere is called "shinrin yoku" and it has been said standing amongst the trees can lower your blood pressure and increase your capability to feel fully rested. Located just a couple hours from NYC, Boston and an hour from Providence - you'll be escorted from our parking area to your site which is over a creek and through the woods. Sorry! No cars allowed at the site! Your campsite is alongside a small stream provided with two tents. A glamp tent with queen-sized bed, sheets, pillows and blankets. As well as a writing desk and two night stands. There is an eating/kitchen area with kamado style ceramic charcoal grill (plates & cooking utensils included), a firepit with coffee percolator and log seating, composting toilet, sink, and solar shower. The Space: Enjoy a forest miles away from the concrete jungle. Guest Access: This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. Group Camping: We welcome campers with larger parties, but the standard Tentrr setup only includes the canvas tent plus the additional pop-up dome tent. You may need and are encouraged to bring additional camping gear of your own if you plan on camping with a large party. Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. You may have as many campers in your party up to the maximum limit that is set for the listing, but please note that the only bed provided as a standard amenity is the one set up inside the canvas tent. Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean. Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days. What you should bring: -S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat -A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling -Bedding and pillows -Lanterns and lighting -Firewood for the campfire -Water Tentrr Extras: These are other additional amenities, services, or activities that may be provided by your CampKeeper for an additional fee.
