Heradsskolinn is located in the heart of the Golden Circle nature paradise. The newly renovated historical building was formerly one of Iceland´s main schools but has now been reinvented as a charming guesthouse with private rooms with and without bathrooms and dorms. You'll love my place for the peaceful and calm atmosphere and the good food :) This group room can sleep up to 14 Guests in bunk beds. The room is private for groups but with shared bathroom facilities. We are located in one of Iceland's most historical buildings. There is a good spirit in the building and the area, and we want to share it with the rest of the world. This room comes with 7 bunk beds (sleeps total 14 guests) and shared bathroom facilities. Free WiFi, cafe, restaurant, shared showers and bathrooms, TV-room, library and a lounge. This room comes with shared bathroom facilities, FREE Wi-Fi in all areas. You'll have access to a cafe, restaurant, shared showers and bathrooms, a TV room, a library, and a chill-out lounge. Our restaurant offers a delicious breakfast buffet every day, you are welcome to book breakfast when you check-in. Please note that breakfast is not included in the price of the room. We do have a kitchenette on site for our guests to use between 8 am and 10 pm. Please note that the kitchenette is not a fully equipped kitchen. We do have an electric kettle and microwave. We provide information and help to our guests on their journey in Iceland and we love to talk and chat with our guests and to hear about their travels! We are located in the center of the Golden circle. There are geothermal baths only 300 meters from the building (The Fontana) and the nature is just amazing. Þingvellir national park, Geysir and Gullfoss waterfall are all within a 30 min drive. We recommend a stop for a ice cream at Efsti Dalur II Dairy Farm. The Secret Lagoon in Flúdir is a unique place to see! Lunch at Fridheimar is amazing, the best tomato soup you can find! Háifoss, Hjálparfoss and Gjáin (famous for a scene from Game of Thrones) is as well about 1 hour drive from our property. We'd be happy to give you some tips and tricks. We highly recommend renting a vehicle, it is much easier to explore the area if you have your own transportation. For public transportation, you can either take Straeto, which is a public transportation company, arriving from Reykjavík through Selfoss or unfortunately arrive with a rental car as the public transportation to this area is on the poor end :( Please note that Breakfast is not included, but our delicious Breakfast Buffet is available for an extra price up on arrival.
